Children of Tophet

The ruins of the future lie
abandoned by the heavens high
the stillborn kingdom's charnel pyres
the notes of dirges on the lyre
damnation's mark upon our heads
we'll go where angels fear to tead
no mercy in this blasted land
it is the fate of every man
the innocent and pure as well
this world at last will go to Hell
forsaken for eternity
no deity to set us free
the temples of the fallen nations
sing gospels of abominations
forever we shall pay the price
with misery and sacrifice
the fires of Moloch burning high
the winds upon the wastelands sigh
the heavens watch a damned sphere turn
neglected fires no longer burn
the whispers of a sterile sea
lamenting what could never be
at last the puzzle peices fit
the sands of time will bury it
repentant for the sin of birth
when shedded blood will bless the earth
for all to see lest we forget
we are the children of Tophet
