I am trying to find info or advice about a ritual.
I just got some wisdom teeth pulled, and I feel intensely pulled twoard using them in a Ritual, which will also include my own blood and fire. I will also be designing/channeling a new Sigil at this time. What I need to know is, what would be the best way to construct this? I feel strongly pulled to Serpent/Dragon energy, but I can't find any real info about blood & bone rites on the web. Mostly, I follow my intuition when doing Rites, but this time I'm not sure I can do this one myself.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well here are some things to consider, look up the history of wisdom teeth in mythologyand folklore. i know theres a few things about them somewhere

casting things into the fire is used as an offering for some kind of service in alot of rituals. so what is the reason for the ritual? what are you trying to gain?

what tools will you need?

are you going to plan it around the moon calender? (full moons next week i believe so then might be a good time)

I think the dragon of fire is Fafnir (hes the main fire one) so set it around him

i hope i spelled that right or im going to wake up in the morning as a fried chicken lol

you might want to add a few crystals, to this ritual, never hurts to entice dragons with shiny things you wont have to throw it in the fire though

dragons are excellent spirits to work with im just beginning to work with them just remember be serious in your wanting to work with them they dont like the armchair magician from what ive seen. id recogmend DJ Conways Dancing with dragons for a start off, its a good book to start, rituals are a tad bit long. but later you can trim it down some.

hope this helps and ill try to answer any other questions

some other dragons are: tiamat (primordial babylonian deity), briag (from beowulf), ravenna, i think (lord of the rakshas), nidhog (norse eater of yggdrasil, the tree of worlds), vritra (middle eastern, hoarded water from reaching land), midgard (the world serpent to the norse), probably some goetic spirits, and the ancient egyptian's apophis. there is a very old egyptian ritual that involves setting fire to an image of apophis and cursing at him. perhapse you could include your teeth in this sacrifice and use them as a symbol for things in your past that bind you to them. scatter the ashes, or pee in them or something like that.:D

well wisdom teeth are the sign of losing your youth ang gaining knowledge and growing older. so perhaps ask for wisdom and guidance?

Wow, thanks everyone! I wasn't sure I'd get any replies. These are great ideas....I didn't think of researching wisdom teeth, have to get on that. As for Conway, I have that book; it was the first Grim I ever owned. I like her fine, but I don't usually do things with that kind of structure. When I do big rituals, I don't speak for most of it, or at all. I have a general idea of what I need to do, but it won't be completely clear until I actually DO it.
I don't "make it up as I go", but it's more like I'm remembering what to do.
I don't bring anything into Circle except my tools and a book of Sigils it took me 3 years to channel. I have no conscious knowledge of what they mean, but I can use them perfectly when I need them.

This thing, whatever it is, wants this offering from me (teeth and blood).
I'm hoping it's HER that wants this from me ( the Dragon Goddess I serve), but I'm afraid that it might not be. Who ever it is, I have the feeling that I have to go Find it, and maybe the offering is the only way. I just don't want to get chained for life to something I don't want to serve, savvy?

Sorry for the rambly post, but I hate being confused, and being afraid of Power isn't really me. Iv'e tried casting my oracle, but all I get is gibberish.

I haven't felt Called by my Lady in over 10 years; I guess she's been busy.
I rarely ask Her for anything, as it's not my place to presume She would care.
It IS my place to do what She tells me, IF she has need for me. My only duty to Her is to become as strong as I can, so that if She calls me, I can do the job without fail.
Self-reliance pleases Her, so I do my Workings alone.

I will let you know how it turns out.

primitive man was usually polytheistic or animistic, they beleived and associated with many gods. just because you have one chosen deity doesn't neccesarily mean your dealings are limited to her, and it's not like you will be "cheating" on her. just like taking friends out to a concert, you may bring you bosom friend but you can bring other friends and acquaintences, too, and you might meet people at the concert as well. perhapse it is your deity that hooked you up with this "other " spirit. they have a tendancy to do that on occasion, you know.

This idea intrigues me....I will keep looking for an answer while my poor jaw-craters heal (presenting myself to Her at anything less than full strength is insulting to us both).

I thank you for the prompt and thoughtful reply.
I may even attempt to ask Her about this...something I do not entirely look forward to, as it is not wise to attract Her attention without cause.
We shall see.

ah well sense you have the book then there you go lol, i do agree that i find some faults with dj conway but anyway, most gods and goddesses arent picky upon if you serve another diety, so yeah, i hope you enjoy your research and your ritual, my best advice is take your time and learning about how you want to do this ritual, "its not the destination its the journey to the destination that matters" it should be interesting,

before i forget the full moon is thursday

Yes, the Moon is full this week...as for the book in question, I'm glad I'm not alone in detecting the faint scent of Fluff within its pages, LOL. I think you are right in suggesting that She won't care if I wander with someone else for a while.
Almost nothing in the world means as much to me as having been in Her presence, even if it was only once.
It's not so much fear of angering Her, but the idea of being not good enough for Her that has me uneasy.
That said, I am very much aware that I hold myself to far stricter standards than She asked of me; maybe this is Her way of telling me to loosen up a bit.
I am deeply grateful for everyone's help on this. Usually, I have no one to ask about anything, so this is wonderful for me. I only hope that I can be as useful to someone else down the road.

The Tools I will use are these: my Sigil book, my special blend of resins and oils for inscence, 23 Crystals (black and clear) arranged in a spiral, the Skull of a carnivorous animal in the center of the Crystals (it took me a month to carve and paint the Sigils into the bone!), sacred Salts and Water, a burning coal which will consume six small sections of parchment with Signs drawn in my own blood,
my wisdom teeth, my Sceptere (also carved bone), and my MP3 player, tuned to selected songs from COIL, Die Form, Suicide Commando, TOOL, re-mixed Christian Death, and possibly Wumpscutt.

It seems like you have a pretty good idea of what your Rite will entail and even what you hope to accomplish. Aside from that, there seems like a smidgen of doubt in there somewhere. Might I suggest a divination? It may aid you in discovering the TRUE purpose behind this, any details that you haven't surmised thus far and possibly a more direct knowledge of exactly WHO you're working with.

Blood Magick is serious Work. Until you know exactly who is wishing this sacrifice of you, I'd say you might want to place a kind of psychic 'filter' on the blood and bone (In this case teeth). It's quite possible to give up the essence of self from these items and still offer up the Power necessary.

Working with other Gods is often fine but making a serious dedication to ones other than She who chose you, may be seen as an affront to Her. Definitely a divination. Just to be on the safe side. ;)

Of course, I may just be off my rocker here, so do what seems best to you.

That's precisely what I'm thinking. I have no illusions about the seriousness of Blood Work,
and I have no desire to offend Her if this isn't what She wants. I asked for a sign from Her last night, but got a curious dream instead: I was given a miniature Samurai blade by a man who told me to kill him with it. I chose to take the blade, but I couldn't strike directly.
I had to basicly carve him into shreds while he sat there and thanked me. There was blood everywhere, and when I woke up my arm hurt from the force I had to use on the sword.
I have no problem handling creatures and substances most people would find repellent,
but this was rather disturbing, even for me.
I'm either stupid or blind, because I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean.
I THINK it's a yes, because he DID give me a weapon, and even thanked me for butchering him, but it's just a weird way to say yes, savvy?
What do you think?

You were destroying the lower part of yourself, which is interfering with your progression. Blood is the life force of the energy that is fed upon, consumed and used.

Ok, that makes a lot more sense. I feel much better about this whole thing now.
I will go ahead as planned. Thanks for the help.
