Post any oppinons about the subject here. comments on the subject are welcome. In the meantime, here is a poem I wrote on the subject. Enjoy!

"Teenage mutant FREEKS!"

I see the generation come and cannot help but think
is something in the air or in the water that they drink?
I love them in their craziness, but all their brains are fried
I watch them as they gently put authority aside
they're talking nonsense, but the others seem to understand
they've got the system so it is afraid to reprimand
the lights are out, there's no one home, they're vacuous balloons
they have a pecking order reminiscent of babboons
elite with I - pods but they cannot use a floppy disk
I always knew that they were mutants, somethings' gone amiss
a cosmic error, product of the population boom
and if the next wave is like this, the world I fear is doomed
so listen close to me lest nature redo her mistake
if making love is on your mind, then with a condom make

Firstly I liked the poem :) and secondly I dont think imbreds is what is meant here but you're on the right track Lady.

I do believe in mutents, infact I am one!...
but so are the both of you and just about everyone that breathes is!
If you think im chewing the wrong end of the liqorice stick then think again!
genetically were all mutants, thats how evolution works, and evolution nomatter how slow (really, dont expect to wake up and evolve into charrizard any time soon) still continues so long as life it's self continues.
each of us will have varient genes, not just because of the genetic combinations of our progenitors but also because our genes themselves will have variations that spring up during their formation and combination during our initial development, also as we grow up and experiance life, various environmental factors (like chemicals, foods, radiation (please stop imagining the hulk)) will cause genes to mutate perminantly... cancer is a result of such mutation. also what may be of more interest everyone here is that there are some theories (even if not so much talked about these days for obvious reasons) that genetic mutation can also occur as a result of the power of the mind and emotions, certainly I can imagin how this could be possible however, as always with the good stuff, it currently cant be proven true.

As for flying men, hulks, juggernaughts and wolverines, who knows! maybe one day.

For now if you want to look for real people with extra ordinary powers that would be willing to prove it, id suggest looking in the world of martial artists.

though i have seen some people who truely believe in their powers... test their "powers" and manage to achieve some really ugly self harm :( and later blaming it on the cameras or... just a bad day lol.

Yeah. I'm not sure what you mean by mutants. Poem was entertaining. Though the title of it made the subject of this thread more confusing. I still don't know if you just wanted to post your poem while confusing me, or you actually want to discuss mutants. WHICH IS IT???

Both. i wanted to stir up a thought provoking conversation and show off my poem, which by the way is being considered for publishing:D. also, i totally aggree with velatherimus on the notion of mutants.

I'd say the major way that each of us on here are mutants is some extra-ordinary power that we are all using, namely language.
