I had a daydream at school once a couple years ago where I dreamt that a black serpent tried to eat me then I woke up. I went to a forum before and they said it was a Kundalini but I'm not sure if this was a natural way to wake it up, was it?

I'm Hijacking this thread.
An renaming it Awakening the Serpent.
Does anyone here practice kundalini exercises meditations and yoga. Awakening the kundalini serpent is something i want to achieve.
Any of you trying to do the same?
Could someone maybe put the experience in perspective? Like maybe some sort of explanation of the phenomena. I've read some but was wondering what your take on it is. Please share your experience with me!!

I'm wondering what exactly it is.

the serpent part is just a metaphor. supposedly, the kundalini is a serpentine energy that starts its ascension at your feet and continues up your spine and out the top of your head. and unlike lady dunsany said, ringing in the ears and chirping sounds are not always indicative of this. more often people see flashes of light. hope this helped :)

it's also possible that the black snake was symbolic of something else, or even just idle fancy. i don't give daydreams much credence because usually they are not visions but instead are idle imaginings. just because you saw a serpent in a fantasy doesn't mean your kundalini is rising. it just means you have a healthy imagination.

That person didn't know what kundalini was, they were just asking cause they didnt understand their dream. They weren't saying that's what they thought it was. And if you haven't noticed, this thread has been hijacked. :D

Could you perhaps post or send me a program guide, or whatever you use to teach kundalini awakening. Getting this information straight from someone who has achieved it would be great. Far better than making my own program from research. I would not be able to find a teacher where i live. Is the process as rigorous as achieving the desired results of yoga of the mind? Something else i dream of doing. But requires so much planning and dedication.

What happens when I do wake it the right way? What kind of doors will it open?
