Have you ever wondered what type of Satanist LaVey was, if he we're alive today and had to pick a current Satanic Label?

It is interesting to know that Anton Levey had his problems like everyone, a palimony suit, filing bankruptcy. I have two friends one who worshiped him and one who knew him. The one who worshipped him would never believe he had his foilables like anyone else. The one who knew him said he was brilliant but then the Hollywood crowd got a hold of him. His concept was that Satan was an idea a spiritual belief not neccessarily a physical form. All I know is he did start a huge rush towards wanting to grasp his beliefs and had quite a bit of followers. I was a Crowley girl mee self as his works were the first in Occult my father introduced me to. I know the Church of Satan still takes followers although they are very choosy. The one in New York is very particular, and who can blame them, God knows what they would get, no pun intended. I do not know what label to put on him if he were alive today, but I think he would be more popular now than he was years ago.

Well if you were compared to Crowley then he can't be an asshole. LOl. He was a brilliant man who when he first started out was not what he became. Bennett who was part of the Theosophical Society gave him the first drugs and I guess not a good idea. I am told he was a kind man in the beginning did not have any egotistical intent but later I guess he became an asshole when he let ego get in the way of progress. I still look on him fondly as his and Richard Cavendish were my first books. There are many brilliant men who were assholes and many spiritual men who were not. In any form and walks of life whether occult , Politics and the office there are assholes and then there are not. Do I make any sense, I have been up since 12 am. Please forgive.

He might switch sides after discovering the pretentious people who hail him. He might convert to Islam ala David Myatt.

well bollocks to the labels, i'm a Human and that's how it's going to stay. I think that if LaVey was still alive today, he'd be put under so much pressure to change his ideals by the numpties who now swarm to his evolved "church" that he's pack it all in, move away quietly and worship his deity in peace, not concerned about what progression his organisation took. He'd simply ignore it all, lest the sex.
