Phantoms and ego loss

Often associated with hauntings ar somewhat "mindless" ghosts that wander aimlessly or do repetitive things over and over again. Take for instance "La Llarona" or the haunting of the Borley rectory. Shades are often relegated to repeating scenes from their life or death or just wandering. often they do not see the people who see them or are not aware of anything at all. I beleive this is due to the person not developing a sense of self while alive or the destruction of the ego after death. sometimes these spirits are called zombies or lost souls, and are often a result of spiritual neglect. any other takes on this are welcome!

Interesting theory, ghosts have under a long time annoyed me since I cant get an proper theory about them.

Cant ghosts also be entities that have easier to manifest now when the veil is thin?


I believe that when we die we will return to the void and hibernate until we reincarnate.

Therefore I believe that ghosts are demons and beings from the astral plane and not the souls of the dead.

But thats just me... :cool:

Perhapse it is a sport of demons to see who can best emulate dead people, but i personally believe that ghosts can be the (partial or complete) spirits of the dead.

Well, some ghosts may actually be the spirits of souls who somehow couldnt return to the void.

Many things can go wrong on the metaphysical plane, exploring it is like exploring space.

Except that the metaphysical plane (the astral world, other dimensions, etc) cant be seen with an telescope...

sometimes life just doesn't work out on earth. I also believe that in the next life, with the same dna, there are jinn sent out by the people in the next life that actually can make it to earth. people could get set up in the next life. with nitrogen charged alien plants. i have been promised this. I think our dna could already have existed in the next world and that versions of ourself could be there, as well as ancestors, psychically aware and directing the whole demented orchestration of life.
ghosts are real. i just posted about this in the tribute to ramacharaka in the occult books section about astral shell remenants.
ramacharaka's life beyond death may be the best book for this, it denotes much of what goes on in the astral plane, and the process of death, like the life review/life flashing before your eyes, etc. unfinished business?
