It'd be interesting to see most of the results lean towards the fall. That was my vote as well. Any ideas why the fall though? I never really wondered why. I can just feel and see the energy everywhere. It's a very sincere and calm time.

I say fall also. As to why many people feel the same way, well... let me suggest some ideas:
For many ancient cultures, there were fall harvests. These were a great time for celebrations where deities were thanked through rituals and prayer. Other ancients believed that on certain days in the fall the barrier between worlds was at its thinnest. This would mean that magic, as well as spirits, could flow easier. Though I do not necessarily know abut a collect consciousness, I do know that these traditions were carried in some form to the present day and have been ingrained to varying levels into our minds.
In nature, at least in temperate zones, fall represents a transition from life to death. All of that dispensed energy must go someplace, and perhaps it becomes an abundant source for magic and rituals.
I was also born in the fall, so I have a natural inclination to the season.

Hello RunningAroundNakedOnFire and welcome! maybe ill call u Ranof for short.
I find I'm more energetic at the change of the seasons, I think its cus im fed up with the old seaon and ready for the new lol. I really appreciate each season though, i like the frosts in winter and warmth in summer and I really love thunderstorms!
btw you need at least 30 votes before a poll becomes statistically significant...thats the figure that statisticians often quote.

I voted for Winter, although the remaining non-Summer seasons are pretty fantastic as well. I just do not like Summer, sunshine, heat or anything of the sort.

fall and winter there seems to be alot of spirits out, and rituals can be entertaining then. but if your doing a ritual for new life or guidance, spring is the best time. cleansing rituals are best in summer ive found to be somewhat true.

Yes you can call me RANOF! I agree. All seasons have their benefits. And thunderstorms are awesome. I never shut up about thunderstorms. I'm originally from texas and the thunderstorms down there are the best. THe sky turns black, the thunder shakes the windows, the rain is heavy and thick and it can last for days.

I am the same way. It was foggy here for 3 days straight. Living in a cloud and it was great. I've always had a slight aversion to the sun. I notice I gain more energy once it goes down. This has been slowly changing just this last summer though. Don't know what's goin on with me. I still can't wait for fall though. God I love the fall. Winter too depending on where you're at.

I'm glad you say this about the spring and summer as that is exactly what I need right now. I'm starting a new path, and am in desperate need of cleansing as well, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually. However I don't know that I'm ready for different rituals right now as my experience with them is almost non-existent.
The type of ritual I'm thinking about right now is not so much a ritual, well it sorta is, but it should have some good effect. My goal is to be able to camp alone way out in the woods by the end of the summer. There are black bears and mountain lions out here, but i'm mostly worried about my mind messing with me. A friend was telling me that aboriginies called this a walk-about. A sort of right of passage. I believe some native americans had traditions like this as well. I feel like once I can get over my fear of being alone at night in the wilderness, something inside will change and strengthen. A good mile-marker for a new path.

I love thunderstorms, too. But they can be as deadly as the are beautiful.
