Theoretically and by physics...the jury's still out on that one. That question is probably best answered by bespectacled quantum mechanics in white coats rather than those of the occult in black ones...

maybe.

Absolutely not.

Even if we some how developed the technology to travel back in time, we could very easily end up changing something that would completely destroy the present to which we desired to return. In fact, unless you went back in time as an invisible, ethereal observer, the possibility of changing something in the present is quite high.

But, your question was "can we go back in time to change the past". Changing the past will change the future. I assume that you want to go back in time to change bad things. Well, what if something worse happened? What if we killed Hitler and a competent military leader rose to power in his place and we to this day still lived under the fascist banner of Nazism?

Of course, we could continuously go back in time and change things all the way to the present, but who would have the power to do that? Whose idea of "good" or "bad" would be used? Regardless, changes would be made that would alter the members of the current population. You can bet that if people could change the past, they would implement some sort of eugenic practice, which means that you and I could quite possibly not even exist. Messed up, eh?

The only way to change the past is to change your perception of the past by memory alteration. While the past still happened in the matter that it unfolded, regardless of how you think it happened after your re-memorization, you would be none the wiser unless there was some record of your personal past, which you could simply just destroy prior to the transformation (although it would be pretty difficult to kill those three women you had sex with while drunk that night). Still, this is a form of self-delusion, and the best way to move on from a horrific past event is to simply learn from your mistakes so that you grow as a person.

No. Some would argue we can't even change the future. What's done is done though. Although there are theories, like perhaps changing a parralel universe, that you might consider the past.
IE. Universe where something you want to change hasn't happened yet.
Einstein had theories on this if you want to look into it.

I think this subject is very blurry in the occult world. Many theories seen from many points of view.
Probably there are some scientifical theories that could be more easily to understand and maybe more plausible..I think the one with the parralel dimension is the most credilbe theory.

Lets say you went back in time and changed the "past" for the timeline to continue in a streight line that change must have already happend so must the paradox created by your traveling back so I dont think its possible to change the past even if you could travel back.
