TAROT CLASS/PRACTICE

Hey everyone, how are you?

I want to make a thread that will allow us all to get some practice and learn a few things about...

TAROT

For this class/practice, we will be using the Rider-Waite deck. So be sure to have yours handy.

Anyone that wants to can request a reading, so that we can all have practice in doing a reading for that person. It can be on anything, job, house, future, past, runny nose, satanic blood orgy outcomes. etc.

Just make a post saying "I want a reading on X" and we can all do one for you and then compare the outcomes and methods.

For the class part, we will start with the Major Arcana. Obviously we will begin with the card, the FOOL. I will post something on this card and you can all do the same. Post your own thoughts on the card we are discussing, adding anything we missed, any new thoughts, any disagreements whatever.

TAROT CARD 0 FOOL -

The first step on the journey. The fool has a long trip ahead of him and so far he doesn't have a direction. He is new to the world. His head is almost literally in the clouds as he heads towards the edge of a cliff! Such an early end to his quest.

Thankfully the fool has his canine companion to help out. A watchful friend or family member may have to step in and save you from this ultimately liberating new, but possibly disastrous start.

The fool is 0. He isn't anything yet, but he is the force behind it all. He is the alpha. Un-molded potential. Origin. A second chance. A clean slate. He is fearless and lives by his own means, knowing no other way to go about things.

He is simply out to see the world and in doing so he will be shaped by his experience.

Unlimited potential, but a warning to watch your footing.

I give you a reading but I don't use the Rider-Waite deck
I use The Golden Dawn Magickal Deck

and I would also like a reading the subject matter is what do I need to know for the next 6 months ?

I use the Car touche Deck myself and plain yarrow sticks. I really do not have anything to ask except how will my children's book do when it comes out in a few months.

ISIS-

Up to now, you have felt very inspired. You have felt some well of emotion bubbling beneath the surface.

But recently, you have been feeling crushed or defeated. Something went wrong in your life and it seems to be an end of sorts. But you know the sun rises and brings new light.

You will find love, or a choice in your near future. Someone or something will come into your life and alter your direction. You won't be able to be without this person or thing.

But, whatever choice you make, this love will pass and come to an end. You can let it go, let it die, and realize that once again the sun will dawn anew. Or if you cling to it, you will blindly accept lies and your situation will go nowhere.

Once you overcome this stage, you will move on to something entirely new. It will take courage at this point. You will have to leave things that are familiar and stable behind and head towards who knows what.

In your past, you have been in control. You've held things together, no matter how opposing these forces were and you made them work for you.

Recently though, you are finding your old ways to be lacking. Things aren't what you thought they were. So you are branching out, leaving them behind, and looking for something new.

You will find that.

Be on the lookout for a woman of taste. She is on her way. This woman will be on top of her life, very much in control, and will have an appreciation of all things beautiful and artistic. However, you will not feel that you can be yourself around her and that she will try to push you into what she feels is best for you.

This will end in two possible ways. The first is you becoming someone who upholds his ideals to a near impossible level. You will be unbending. If you boycott something on a principle, you will expect everyone else to do the same and if they don't they are weak. This isn't to say you won't be loving or kind, but you will certainly be razor sharp in your thoughts.

The second is that you won't be able to complete what it is you set out to complete. Something is in your way, you can't leave your comfort zone again. You will either think you have mastery over your goal or situation, or you will continue to work on it forever and not accomplish it.

A major influence in your situation is a man, who cares about his family first and foremost. It seems he has an impact not only with your book, but your life.

Right now however, things are busy. You are too caught up in things to get dissatisfied with anything that might be ordinarily found to be lacking. You've got to find some grounding to get your bearings.

This all leads into a lot of hard work. The way things are right now, you will have to persevere in your undertaking, and no doubt you will. Stick with whatever it is you have started and it will lead to bigger and better things.

Good idea Gazeeboh! I do have a suggestion though, for the readings being given so that those wishing to learn in how you arrived at these conclusions, is name the cards what they mean to you, and the type of layout used. Just me two cents, from me humble opinion!LOL

I am doing this from memory and will take the first card

I am using the Golden Dawn Magickal Tarot

the card is the Fool the color associated with this card is yellow and deals with the element of air and has a child against a wolf
( foolishness )


This card being the first card it's value is 1 and the Hebrew letter is Aleph ( the ox )

Thirteen yellow roses are on the card

well that's all I can remember on this at the present time

It's really easy Isis, you'll get it pretty quick.
With tarot, you can just look at the pictures and understand.
Of course there are far deeper levels to this, but those just come naturally after time.

Usually, once you get familiar with your deck, cards will fall out while you are shuffling them. The cards or card that falls are the ones your looking for. Otherwise whatever you draw normally is good too. You'll feel it.

You can use them as talismans as well.
Also, you can make money with them. 10 bucks is a good place to start once you are comfy. Once you gain something akin to mastery you can charge way more. Some people even get to work for corporations or CEO's and charge ass loads for the whole deal (tarot, charting, and all that jazz.)

Do not let anyone know about your finances lack there of or any money that will come to you. If you keep all a secret twill come together within six months.

I've got a few going and not sure which one to focus on.

I really enjoy writing music, words, and doing magic but can never choose one. Maybe they are all the same thing but with different aesthetics?
