Ok, after some research I have some questions. The Ancient Ones, if they are the enemy of man, why do some devote time to their cause? If you know it is evil, why do you do it? What is there to gain? I think I am more interested in perusing the good or neutral. Maybe an earth based practice. I would like to learn how to help myself succeed with magic.
Also I would like some explanation on presences I feel during certain periods of the day. Christianity has an answer, western science has an answer, and psychology (which IS a religion) has an answer. I want to explore older beliefs for this phenomenon.

The ancient ones or the Old Ones, (druids especially) were not evil alot of them were advisors judges counselors, Priests of course but also various other tasks, they were considered the philosophers of their time and hold in high regards. occult itself means "hidden knowledge." as far as using magick, magick produces understanding over things, it is the supernatural science you could say. As far as some earth based religions try Druid there are a few orders out there, that are usually very kind to guests from what ive experianced, and serveral groups as well (The Order of Bards Ovates and Druids is one) also try wicca.
