I have been a long time member of the O.T.O, need I say more?
Can you tell me more? Why aren't you a member of O.T.O. any more? Is it a good school to learn the occult? Is it a good teaching sistem in O.T.O.? Is it ok for some one who is almost beginner in occult to learn magical arts in O.T.O.? What are your dislikes and likes about O.T.O.? How long have you ben a member of O.T.O.?..... please tell me because the O.T.O. is the only occult order in my country and i think that for the begining it is a sutible order for me to learn magic. I think i will then go in Dragon Rouge or something like that but maybe O.T.O. is the right for me. Who knows! If you like you can rite to me in PM.

Good quaestion CathyD :). For me it's like that. If i want to learn magical art, that kind of organisations or orders are very sutible. You can learn a lot i think. Well at least for the begining, to know from where to start. But when you are in it many years, i think that it is better to go on alone because magic (for me, maybe not for you) is very personal and being a part of an organisation or order can be confinement. Please correct me if i'm wrong??!!

Are we here talking about Crowley's O.T.O? I think it is a good order that can help many on their way. Though I am not a member so I do not know to much about it, many seam to get allot out of it. The other order I have not heard about. What is Dragon Rouge?

Freemasonry is fraternity CathyD, and have no specific set of beliefs or dogma. Just to clarify.

And of course there are many orders for you to check out that might be more Right Hand Path oriented. I've heard great things about the B.O.T.A. When I have the time and money I would like to join soon myself. Here is a link to their site: B.O.T.A. Builders of the Adytum (http://www.bota.org/about_us/about)

There are also various offshoots of the Golden Dawn and Rosicrucians that still thrive to this day. I am no expert on them though, sorry I cannot be more informative.

I'd recommend A.'.A.'.
(Still wondering about becoming a member...I just guess I'd end it after years of progress becoming a Brother of the Left hand path..)

everything falls; the rapture of progress.

I too have heard good things of B.O.T.A.

magic and mysticism is a path best taken alone, but first one must learn.
