A reflection in your eyes

Have you ever drove past an animal at night say a dog or cat and have seen the eyes reflect in your lights before you see the animals body? How come humans don't have this anymore? I have on many occasions mostly while using various medicines mostly LSD have seen this in people. But it was only the other/s who had taken the medicine. Interestingly enough I have seen this reflection in the eyes of full apparitions in photographs. Does anyone have any info or theories on this matter.

Some people do, some people dont. Sometimes some people have it, other times they don't. Animals like owls only have their pupils reflect, not the irises, and that is the case with most people. Perhaps it is an omega 3 defficiency or something.
