I don't Really know what specific form this would fall under. But My question is how could a person remove a portion of there soul or spiritual self and place it in to another container.

Is it even possible and if so what would be the side effects, both in the physical and metaphysical sense. The reason I ask is I have just recently met a person who claims to have done such a thing, he claims to have put a portion of his soul, what he says to be his darkest nature in to a dagger.
Now I don't go just believing any old story but, the thing was giving off some pretty nasty vibes like a spider crawling on my skin. I could not tell if it was just negative emotions he had directed at it and it stuck or what.

It got me wondering, and I'm just asking out of pure academic reasoning, I do know from older myths and stories I'v heard about, that stated a person could transfer energy psychic or other wise, in to objects ie crystals objects of ritual etc. And I also know that some objects can be saturated in negative psychic energy that can be {residual?}, and some times take on a life of there own as it where.

And in one case I read of a trial if a person was found misusing gifts naturally born in to him/her that through the use of pressure points or more exactly a specific one at the head and center of the chest charaka it could be taken away and he would be cut off from the flow of that spiritual power. If I remember the book was chines mythology. But as with all books I take them with a grain of salt and retain what little bit of useful sounding information I can gather from them.

I am simply curious on the subject and wondering if any one has any ideas or options on the subject not for personal use as I said before just knowledge for the sake of knowledge. Forgive any bad grammar and I can't wait to hear what any one has to say.

Soul splitting? You must be kidding.

Maybe putting energy into an item you use a lot so it gains your vibrational feel?
Yes.

But not a "part of yourself", no. If you did that, you'd never be whole again, and really, it'd be kinda creepy to say, give part of yourself to your favorite tarot deck. Seriously weird.

well like I said, it was just a pure academic question not a joke, anything Is truly possible within the realm of metaphysical bounders and I was just curious as to if any one had heard about any such thing, or if they even had an idea on the subject. I do understand it would be "weird" or "odd" but considering this is an occult forum I would think weird or odd was the norm.

And as I said I had heard about there being cases where you could put energy in to another container, could you elaborate more on it I don't know allot about it just sparse stories here and there and random jumbled facts from other people from other occult forums.

I once found a container that I believe had a portion of a soul in it. The soul was not complete though as it seemed to lack some things to its personality. It had a one-track mind bent on vengeance. Whether it was actually a fragment of a soul or just energy with a personality imprinted on it is in my opinion just a matter of semantics.

See now that is something worth hearing about. I mean I can't really be the only one curious on the subject can I?

I think it depends on the defiition of soul. I don´t belive that the soul is a psysical, separate entity. I see the soul as the personality (altought personality it´s hard to definine. Never studied psycology).

Assuming that the soul can be define as the personality (a set of psycological characteristics), then I think it´s possible.Psycological characteristics can change all the time.

Now what´s an intereseting point of speculation is the level of self control or self knowledge necessary to slip some part of you deliberatedly. That´s a skill that I would envy...:)

I think this is an odd question, and really one of semantics. What is the soul? Does anyone actually know? Every religion has it's own nebulous definition but none really offer any concrete answers. Is it the personality? The vital spark of divinity? Life force? The imprint of Karmic debts? In Qabalistic Judaism the soul is already split with the Nephesh, the Ruach, the Yechidah, and several other composite parts making up the individual. In Egyptian mythology as well the soul is split into several parts. The soul as most westerners know it, a vital spark within containing all aspects of the "true" self is only one of many interpretations of what the soul actually is. That being said, there are several myths, mostly european in origin but not entirely, of giants, sorcerers, and supernatural beings who, in an effort to cheat death, contain their soul in an external shell. But as with all matters involving the soul, from selling it to splitting it to putting it in a jar to altering its nature through magic, that I have seen in several forums across the web, I think the first question has to be, before deciding whether it is possible or desireable, what is the soul to you?

Personally, I beleive the soul is your higher self and something that can not be split and will continue on it's journey through the different lives, keeping the memory of our past lives in it, not in the way the mind/brain keeps a memory (Explicit or Implicit memory), but on deeper more instinctual level....

Some shamans practice soul retrieval in which trauma has splintered a shard,
or the astral sphere of influence has been compromised. A journey is taken and the piece found, and advice to follow to remain "whole"

Wow ,that's beautiful....It's like the soul being damaged and then healed, through the journey..

The broken have value. At times even more so than those who remain 'whole.'
