Death cult and Sirius...

I've just read The Book of the Dead and I can say I'm absolutely puzzled and surprised by the things I've noticed therein. It shows us not only mortal and immortal aspects of our spirit and body, it takes us much farther away. You can find our communication to the gods, especially to Osiris. But who is Osiris? He's Isis' brother and husband. They're very close to each other. So Isis is also connected to several parts of death cult.
If to read "The Sirius Mystery" we can find out how the pyramids are situated, they're connected to the Sirius system and Sirius B itself. If you look at Dagon's mythology and many things in another myths you also can find something about Sirius...
Sirius A and B are as the source of life but, maybe, and of death.
Ancient Egyptians made their pyramids in a harmony with Sirius but these pyramids are more connected to death than to life.
So it forced me to have a thought... What if we take some life-energy from Sirius A and after our death something of us belongs to Sirius B (as it have sometimes a negative association, and if it's even positive [in Egypt and such] it's also near death cult for as history tells Egyptians used to spend their life preparing for afterlife). Thereby, what can wait us after our death when we know about the destruction of Sirius B? The whole system of our afterlife can be changed...

I don't know if i want to change it or not, but if this version is quite right, it may be changed... I don't know clearly, of course:D.
Well, Sirius B burst several centuries ago, but there was the time when it played a big role in mythology and religion of the peoples.
Pyramids... Well, they are situated so that they make a projection of the movement of Sirius ...
Sirius is Sothis, and Sothis is Isis. And these projections make us see Sothis making love with... Maybe, with a pharaoh... It's hard to say, but the projection and a ray of light of Sirius make such a picture...

Interesting ideas, although I think a bit misinterpreted. As stated before, Sirius is Sothis, and Sothis is a representation of Isis. The star is the brightest in the evening sky, and played a profound role in ancient Egypt in regards to harvest, inundation of the nile, etc.

Being associated with Aset, greek Isis, I find it problematic to relate the star to a death cult. Aset is Weret Hekau....great of magic. She is life. The stories of her learning the secret name of Ra, resurrecting Osiris, etc. are not about death, but life. She is the mother of Pharaoh. She was recognized as the one who taught the preservation, ie mummification, to men, but again that was about life not death......and there is so much information about these topics, too much for me to write in a forum post.

If you want to refer to Aset in regards to a death cult, bleh, well it isn't a death cult, but the Aset-Ka would be something to contemplate. But, again, it is not about death, but life. The only reason I mention the Aset-Ka is because it is considered "dark," and most who think of Isis probably think of happy rainbows and lollipops...but the Aset-Ka aren't so medicated. Death cult, no, but "dark." Also, you could look into the "Cult of Isis," an ancient cult known to have existed, as well as the Fellowship of Isis. There are others.....
