In your own words, from whatever background/paradigm you may have,
What is True Will?

that term comes from one source Thelema or Crowley.

I believe it means purpose, even destiny.

here is something I like on these lines.

"One thing must not be forgotten. Forget all else, but remember this, & you'll have no regrets. Remember & be concerned with everything else, but ignore this one thing & you'll have done nothing. It is as if a king has sent you on a mission to a foreign land to perform one specific task for him. If you do a hundred things, but not this appointed task, what have you accomplished? Human beings come into this world for a particular purpose, and if they forget it they will have done nothing at all"

Jalal Al-Din Rumi, 1207 ~ 1273

I am not a Thelemite nor a scholar on Crowley, (so any Thelemites here please correct me if I am wrong) though I do enjoy some of his writings and biographies... but I believe the True Will is your sole motivation in life, your true purpose and driving force. Crowley would tell you that to find otu what this is, your first step would be attaining the Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel (a form of your higher self closest to divine purity).

It is said that your True Will is in accodrance with the flowing plan of Nature, and any other deviation from this would only be the pursuit of 'false desires'. So, once the True Will is realized, other hindering paths would be done away with so as to finally act in accordance with your own divinity.

Pursuing this is a big deal and viewed as of the highest importance. This is just yet another way to perform the Great Work.

To me it always seemed that true will is white magick, getting close to divinity.
Go through this US Grand Lodge, OTO: Frequently Asked Questions (http://www.oto-usa.org/faq.html) & read "The book of the Law"

Thanks for the replies.

I am still looking for further observations and personal experiences of True Will.

Quantum entanglement, and of course, numerous philosophies, demonstrate that everything is One, and separation is an illusion of perception. The True Will is the underlying connectedness between ourselves and the rest of the Universe.

One might say that true will is the interpretation of the Universe, 'cause "evert man and woman is a star".
It is also destiny, and the will of HGA, making one but a tool of his purpose, thus one with not-I. The mystery is not easily understood, but Crowley's books are helpful in this.

True Will is your divine purpose. You're calling. When some one says, "That person took to (insert doing something) like a duck to water!" is an example of True Will. I believe all forms of Divination (even though you are either asking a question for yourself or another) is an example of whoever's True Will the question being answered is for as the Divine will always attempt to coax you onto the path of your True Will.
