Help with research?

Hey everyone, I've started this thread for a somewhat simple reason, or atleast, it will be for you.

I am beginning a study on a theory that i call "Aethyric Definition" which is essentially defining magic(k) and using it as you go.
It would be greatly appreciated if at least 300 people could participate in this; seeing as it is very simple, it shouldn't be that much of a problem.

Essentially, i would like you to take no more than 30 seconds defining magick in a way similar to this example: Say you flip a coin, and it lands tails-up; then you flip it again and it is heads-up. The next time you flip it, say, "Magick will let the coin land heads up." and see what happens.
I hope that it will be atleast a 50% success rate, but only data will tell, so i need some help.

Also, the paper will most likely appear in the book i am writing, which is brimming with my ramblings and theories; i would like atleast one to be legitimately tested.

So if you participate, please put the date you did it, and if it manifested quickly or not.

your view of magick is way off base. the coin is going to land 50% up and 50% down. It's very possible to use magick to tell what the coin will or has landed. One could make several judgments simply based on flipping technique and wether the coin is up or down before it is flipped. Some are very intuative but let their conciosness get in the way of it, they put wanting to know ahead of wanting to feel. Then if one was so endowed, one could for example use telepathy to get the answer off someone who already knows the answer. Try remote viewing techniques after that or project through the ether, but of course you would need to know how to use the etheric body properly and get in it's eyes. One could even use their subtle bodies to sense the intricisies of the coin and feel if it's heads or tails but I will admit this is beyond my paygrade. One can not simply go poof abra caboo I call heads and effect the quantum world to the point that it morphs the material world to follow your will. Zelda gave you a good answer. Ask me for mine when you've thought abit more on the world we live in. I think elemental magick would be a good start for you. A hunch. Edit: work with nature, not against it. Or in the words of Obi wan Kinobi "you were supposed to bring balance to the force, not lead it into darkness".

the flip of the coin suggests chance and that does not mean the change in the way of magic, there is a determined change when one employs magic.

one can say all kinds of things but that is not what causes the change. the best word for the cause is will, but one could also say power, force, inertia.

now my thought on this is that the coin will be fliped and face the way it is faced yet one could foresee the result in a ways of magic(diviniation), and as well flip it with enough or less force to produce the right change. Is this not how magic works in idea and practice any way?

Are you attempting to try to investigate magic from a technical statistical point of view? Sort of like keeping a personal magical diary/account of success rate with work, only on a grand scale. If so I can see why you would need to greatly simplify the experiment to something such as a coin toss. Maybe you could try something a little different or more complex. Like asking a certain number of people to try and attract something small and trivial into their life. Something mundane with no emotional or spiritual significance such as a cup of coffee or a book of matches. They can manifest this through whatever method of magic they use normally and should briefly explain their technique along with giving their results. Try and see how often they can manifest such an experience throughout a specified period of time, and if they do so at an increasing rate.
