are they rehabilitative, is there a sense of what is criminal. are prisons just criminal colleges. occult or non.

in the us especially there are crimes that will land one in prison that are not really criminal, but illegal; what are your perceptions of these, and the consequences of prison.

As someone who lives in the US and is considered a criminal due to my choice in medication to treat my debilitating condition, I think there needs to be more education on what is a criminal act, and what is a personal right.
