am new to everything. bear with me. Basicly am looking for someone whose been in satanism for quite a long time who can guide me in my "spiritual" walk or mentor me so to speak. i am wondering how many levayan satanists on this site av dedicated themselves to Satan, etc? when i read this forum hardly anyone speaks about their religiion or what they believe in so i find it difficult to really find the answers am looking for. Also people (particularly satanists)don't seem to take anything seriously and you can tell from the discussions. They even talk about "guardian angels" so am confused. whats up with that?? :eek:

You shouldn't be looking towards others in order to teach you things. They can manipulate and mislead. If anything ask for resources in order to teach yourself.

The Holy Guardian Angel is one's spark of divinity... their higher self.. not a literal angel.

Laveyans also don't dedicate themselves to Satan. They might - if they so chose - dedicate themselves to themselves, but it isn't necessary.

Look into Theistic Satanism: Diane Vera on today's new kinds of Satanists (http://www.theisticsatanism.com) or some other forms of theistic satanism. Some good references to other websites are on wikipedia

erm basicly wen researching satanism and different types i was just drawn to levayan satanism duno y. and what do u mean by "there is more out there than this single view?" have u tried satanism for urself and realized its nt useful>> well av been a christian for about 7 years of my life, and probs from the age of 11 i think and the whole time i suffered from lack of self confidence, was lonley, weird, stood out..bt i had desires and i repressed them. becos of parents, teachers, priests, and the thought of going to hell and also GUILT of "sinning". i tried to move away from it thinkign my life would improve bt it still lacks in so many areas. i stil struggle with confidence and i realy want some love in my life, some confidence, close friends i cn trust, etc. tried WICCA bt not sure if its for me. wiccans pretend theyre the angelics of occultism with their angel cards, etc and talk about white magic and this and that when both sides r actually satan (SORRY FOR ANY WICCANS WHO MIGHT COME ACCROSS THIS I HAD TO GO THERE.) i wnted to stop deceiving myself and i realy do want occultic knowledge, esoteric knowledge, POWER (MUAHAHAHAHAHA *EVIL LAUGH*) i want to be happy and reach my ful potential in this carnal body. av been repressed for too long :o

I have not been a satanist for to long but i will try to help you best i can. Well satan is the self you when your worshipping satan your essentially worshipping yourself satanism is not about worshipping the satan in the christian dogma so to speak. It is about embracing life for what is this is why it is one of the more carnal religions it says to enjoy all of life's pleasures and dont be worried about sin all the time. After all if everyone went by the christian sins and followed them to a tee there life would be hell. Joy of Satan is a theistic satanic organization. They worship Satan.

Levayan Satanism is a ... ''nastika'' organization. In the sense that they believe in the dark forces - but they don't worship them. They may utilize those forces but they don't worship them.

They have online versions of the satanic bible.

Dedicating yourself to Satan is a bad idea. That's very similar to getting married to someone you don't know. I'd wait a year or two ... and make sure you really want to ''marry'' satan. Divorces are a bitch.

I've practiced Lavey satanism and studied various others. I consider myself a Luciferian. I do believe Satan to be a manifestation of the ''current'' or force which is Lucifer. I believe that all of the gods which are adversarial in nature are manifestations of the same current or force. I think the form we give this force/current is more based on culture and the psychological frame-work of the people during that time.

I don't like Wicca because it is too ''fluffy''. It doesn't acknowledge the dark side of things.

It isn't necessarily a marriage to dedicate one's self to Satan. It is just ... making yourself a vessel/weapon/servant ... while you may get powers from Him ... you still will have to be His weapon. If the Joy Of Satan cult is so ''empowering'' they wouldn't make themselves into slaves. Marriage was the best analogy in order to explain what that was like.

I'd say more research. The meditations on that site... most of them can be very helpful and empowering. Some of them are perversions of sumerian and egyptian archetypes and symbolisms. So yes, but do your research and seek the advice of others. Kundalini for example is supposed to be from the right hand path. It is designed to make one dissolve into The All. However, the joy of satan website says it will turn you into a God. If anything, it dissolves the spirit of the practitioner. The right hand path focuses on dissolving the spirit of someone into the All/Higher Power. The Left Hand path focuses on making a person a Deity. There is left hand path Kundalini but it is not like how the Joy of Satan website speaks about.

I think important questions to ask yourself are
- why Satanism? Any of its' forms.. why chose this?
- Are you ready to deal with social stigmas if people ask you about your religion?
- Do you want unity and love with everything? Or do you want power and perfection?
- Do you defy social norms frequently - or are you one who conforms and follows the social norms?

As Devakxes stated, HGA stands for Holy Guardian Angel and is more a creative spark than romantic vision.

I'm a little surprised that you have made a decision to follow such a path yet have not read the most basic book on the subject. It's more of a pamphlet than a book. I'm using my copy to prop up my monitor screen at the moment. Perfect size and depth. :)

With most all occult matters I would advise to read as much as you can and don't believe anything just because it has been published. Cross-reference everything.

Not sure how one "tires" Wicca. You've either been initiated into a coven or you haven't. It would certainly seem that the majority of people (kids) professing to be wiccan and spouting all this white light crap has created a nice fluffy blanket for the real Wiccans to hide behind.

I would say it is true that the forces we use are exactly the same but look at each individual as a filter system. So I might be filtering only beneficial energies to heal someone because my intent desires that they heal. However, I have equally used healing techniques to curse and cause harm. What I am saying is not to underestimate a magickal system based on how it looks from the outside.

The reason I feel compelled to ask this is after my yoga sessions I feel a sense of 'inner peace' perhaps something which you could call 'dissolving into all' & not much of a satanist.

And does it also imply that a satanist should avoid yoga just like kundalini? I may be over generalizing things here.

Personally I had only thought of yoga as exercises for the body & mind but I never thought that it could actually make you feel inclined towards a certain path.

Any sort of ''Working'' can be changed to fit the particular path one is on - left or right. However, the Joy of Satan website makes no real attempt to explain how the left hand path typically (typically is the key word here) views the chakras. It also should be noted that the intent of any working is everything. So if you are doing it with the intent to feel like a God and this inner peace is a feature of such - then so be it. Upon further study, I don't really believe the kundalini is more a raising of consciousness and the utilizing of one's aspects and energy, but the right hand path negates all of the negative and shadow aspects of the self (typically).

I have been a Laveyan satanist for about 7 years now. Its difficult trying to describe what is basically a collection of philosophical works and Lavey's personal knowledge as "spiritual". A lot of people new to this sort of thing read the satanic bible and start hunting for other works that will "guide them", you will not find very many because it is not a very spiritual (you mean religious) way of life. Maybe you would feel more on your path with more deity-friendly ways?

I have to admit that I started out with Wicca, and still fall back from time to time, and I'm the only one to have posted in the Wiccan forums.

Back to the point, I am not a religous person, but my friend once started to "work" with a demon who's name eludes me now, but the unfortunate girl became a tool. She's free now, but this demon used her to fight the battle it waged with another demon.

Beware, allways leave a backdoor before commiting yourself.
