Hello there!

I've read stuff about Morrison's The Invisibles and how it affected his life in a big way. Whatever happens to the main character in his comic happens to him as well.

My question is, what about making stories that you don't publish and let people read? Has anybody been successful with this?

Please describe your experiences and your techniques with this. Thanks.

Well I'm not really a writer... But I'd like to experiment with this. I'm good at writing and maybe post stories on the internet. I'm sure with people reading my hypersigils/stories will even put more energy into this and make this my reality.

It's so creepy yet exciting how there are cases when writers have experienced similar events that have happened to the main character. The theory behind it is that the main character is somewhat the writer himself. Sometimes writers put part of themselves in the main characters. Like what happened to the main character also happend in the writer's past. The personality may also be the same as the writer's. As a result, whatever happens in the main character, will happen to the writer himself.

I'd like to experiment with this and one of my interests is writing. Writing consumes me and the imagination feels so real to me. I would just like to know more about people's experiences with this.

Written words are thoughts given form so that they might grown and propagate. If you accept this definition of writing then all writing has the potential to be magical in nature if the writing is focused to a single end. I've been writing for a long time, even had a few things published, and there is always a bit of me in my stories and my characters. Sometimes I'll have a story idea that consumes me and when it does those are the times that I start have synchronicity between myself and my characters. For example I was listening to a He Is Legend song, Serpent Sickness, and suddenly I got hit with this idea for a story. I mean the whole thing, the setting, the characters, the plot, it all came flooding in on me at once. Well in that story the main character ends up committed to a mental institution. Well a week down the road after I've done my basic outline for the story I had an incident, that's what we'll call it anyway, and I ended up confined to a mental institution for a few days. It wasn't pleasant but, it was good research material.

The same mind that shapes its contents into dreams and visions is called upon to mold the same contents into stories and art. I like to think of creative writing and art as a type of dreaming. A dreaming with artifacts of words and images that others can enjoy (or not). Now, just as not all dreams or dream contents are equal in their profoundness, eccentricity, or transparency, it can also be seen that not all fiction is equal and that even in shallow stories there can be elements of great psychic potency.

The real problem though is in separating cause from effect. Take a quarter from your pocket and flip it. Is the outcome heads because I declared it so? Or did I declare it because it is so? Only the rational mind tries to draw a line of causation. Once you pass down into the contents of the mind and look at the natural processes you will see the universe (and indeed, most of your mind) does not declare a cause and effect relationship and still functions beautifully.

To go back to Morrison's The Invisibles. Dreams contain the dreamer in one form or many and The Invisibles contained Morrison. Morrison identified and objectified the contents of his mind which were also the dreamer (at some level the dreamer realizes subject and object divisions are illusion... I Am That). Through extraordinary circumstances he became aware his life was mirroring the "Story". Morrison decided it is heads because he wrote it heads and not the other way around. Through a conscious act he began to shape the elements to suit his needs. I would be interested in seeing what results other people have doing the same thing.

Also there is a theory regarding whether this is some kind of being able to predict the future or you are making a reality.

When you are writing for a long time. Your focus and your concentraition are really high therefore you achieve gnosis. Now when you are writing, sometimes you have the feeling that the characters are alive and they are making those stories themselves rather than you writing them. It's weird. It's like your subconscious doing the writing or something.

Anyway, since you are in gnosis, it's either you are predicting what is going to happen to you or you are the one is creating a reality that you desire.

Anybody has opinion about this?

We are not godly material , we cannot easily create our own reality without getting MAD or worse, subconscious is not an easy thing to mess with. It is like an untamed horse , you can get hurt pretty bad messing with it and even die.
Human beings are very limited actually , that is the truth. For anyone start to have any power over reality , they must have a kind of determination that is outstanding , there are no shortcuts.

redmonk, this is all I can say to you:

My Question about Hyper Sigil :
Is it best to do it hand written, or you can type it and store in computer? Which one give the best effect? Advice please. I want to give it a try and post the results. Thanks.

Anybody has opinion about this? The bold parts are very interesting. I agree that artistic people (writers, musicians, painters etc) have higher understanding of spiritual realms because they are gifted, if they can use their gifts wisely.

Anyways I will ponder on the words you wrote and give Hyper Sigil a try. I want to mold and shape my reality and create stories that become true. It's going to be exciting. I will share the results with you all. Previously I did the visualization method. Now I'm ready to try another method and it's interesting when you mention gnosis regarding this.

A little update.
I tried the hyper sigil method but only wrote one story, so far it has slight effect. I think I have to write it daily to see the difference.
