Pink Floyd is excellent! Other than them, Dimmu Borgir, Dark Funeral, a little Mayhem. Sometimes, other rock genres, whatever fits the mood.

I'm no cheapskate. I'm known to buy a pitcher or two when I'm out and about.

You ever let the universe speak through "random shuffle" on your play lists?

Yes! I tried it a few times but I got mixed results. A few times I would get rubbish but there were others where I really wondered...

Yeah, like cough syrup, it won't work every time.

But every now and again, you get soothing relief.

What did you get when it worked if you don't mind sharing?

Well, I was reading some ONA literature a few days back ("The Black Book of Satan") and was feeling more Satanic than usual. I then put the playlist on random and got tracks from Dimmu Borgir ("Mourning Palace," "Serpentine Offering"), Dark Funeral ("Antichrist"), Behemoth ("Prometherion"), Marduk (I can't recall the name of the song right now), Cradle of Filth "("Tearing the Veil From Grace"), Burzum ("My Journey to the Stars"), Heaven Shall Burn ("Counterweight," "Implore the Darken Sky") and Deicide ("The Stench of Redemption"). It was like the universe telling me I was chosen or something.

Of course, I also brood sometimes over things beyond my control and then I got Killswitch Engage ("My Curse," "Arms of Sorrow"), Avenged Sevenfold ("Seize the Day"), Metallica ("Nothing Else Matters," "One," "Fade to Black"), H.I.M. ("Don't Fear the Reaper," "Kiss of Dawn"), Disturbed ("Darkness") and Stain'd ("Outside," "It's Been Awhile").

I like to Work with COIL, Tibetan Chanting, the soundtracks to Conan the Barbarian, AKIRA,
Ghost in the Shell, Die Form, Beyond Temptation, VAST, Suicide Commando (Raise Your God is the most awesome song ever!), Wumpscutt, and lots of other things i can't remember just now. The best things I found for Workings are the songs that build this hugely complex wall of sound; you just get lost in it like a tidal wave.
