Hi, I'm new here. I've been doing alot of research lately only Chaos Magick, and I just have a few questions pertaining to sigils. Is charging just simply creating the sigil and stating your intent to it? From what I've read there are numerous ways to fire a sigil. Death posture, climax, meditation. Would something like holding your breath work until your body forces you to take a breath? Do you need to have gnosis or a clear head for just a second or two in order for it to be taken in by your subconcious? Also when it comes to forgetting the intent of the sigil. Must it be completely forgotten or should one just not obsess about it, and push any intense thoughts about what the intent was out of your head, because it seems difficult to completely forget something that one has put some time and effort into.

I know that this is all about what works for you. but I am just wondering what are some methods of others here. I've read a some online, and am currently working on Liber Null and Liber Kaos, and waiting for Hands on Chaos Magic and Creating Magickal Entities to come in the mail but I would kindof like some first hand accounts and methods others are using.

As well as, methods for binding personal demons, by giving them name and form(and a sigil) and using said "demons" energy to feed a servitor created in a more positive aspect of what drove the obsessive demon.

I dunno if I am way off base or sound ignorant with my questions, and any info would be much appreciated, Thanks!

My method for creating Sigils is making a sigil of your own making (a personal seal/sigil), write it an ancient language (I use futhark) what the sigil/seal represents. Example below:

Then once it is done, or I am satisfied with the sigil/seal, I place both my hands over it (an inch from touching the paper), an I push out my energy through my hands an focus it in to the sigil/seal. At the same time of using the energy, you must also focus its purpose, what is will be used as (can be quite literally anything), and how powerful it is.

Paper however isn't very effective for creating sigils or seals, so I would suggest using something more stronger like Wood, Stone, or Steel, or hell you could use it on a stone like Obsidian, Ruby, Topz, ect. ect. But on those kinds of stones, I have no idea of what would happen since some beliefs use stones like Topaz an whatnot to amplify something around them or like Obsidian to absorb negative energies.

Hope this helps, an note that this is just based on my experiences, may be wrong an it may be right, it depends on the effort & focus you put into it.
Good Luck.

Paper can be very effective when creating sigils, and this is the method that I normally use. Oriental magick tends to be talismanic, and Chinese/Daoist magick uses paper talismans to a great extent. These talismans are essentially sigils, and the construction, energy and intent behind them are the most important elements here. Paper talismans/sigils are usually burned as a means of releasing qi, but sometimes they are kept, usually as a means of protection.
