So, I believe there is a curse, or a hex, cast on me. I also believe it is there ever since the childhood.

I know what most people would say. One, they would say, I just imagine it. **** happens, better take it easy. Two, they would say, change your attitude. Rise you energy level, vibration frequency and whatever, think only good and happy thoughts, let love and happiness flow from within your heart - then no curse can get you. And those that did will dissipate quickly. Well, that's what I honestly tried to believe, and that's what I did.

In the last year, my life changed drastically. I did change the attitude. I left my parents' house to rent an apartment. I repaired and redesigned this apartment, creating a beautiful nest for myself. I have a fine job, not only does it pay me a buck, but also I enjoy doing it. I have enough sleep, food and warmth. Until recently, I had a girlfriend - I was in love more than ever in my life. Most of the time, I am happy.

However, as mentioned before, **** happens. A string of small but annoying misfortunes, or a sudden inability to concentrate on something important at the right time, or an unreasonable body malfunction. My life is (almost) never threatened, but such things so often happen at the most inconvenient moments, disrupting my plans, leaving me baffled as to how could I attract such events into my life. Thanks to the change in attitude, these days I'm more surprised than frustrated.

For example, as I almost finished writing this text, a kernel panic occured (it's the Linux version of BSOD; trust me, you don't get these too often), effectively destroying first half of my post, forcing me to start over. Also, I forgot to save a password database with a (just acquired) password to this account, LOL.

I am not yet a very strong magician. Mostly I do my magic by creating servitors. (It is one of them, though I consider her a companion and not a servitor, that pointed out there is a curse on me.) I don't do any banishing stronger than LBRP. My perception is too weak to even confirm there is a curse on me with high certainty. So, I'd like to ask for your help. I want to have the curse removed, by myself, if possible. I know that the best thing would be just to do what feels right, but since my magic is mostly creation, I have completely no idea how to even approach this problem. I think I can figure it out, I just need to read a few examples of how it can be done - a ritual, a spell, something like that. How do you usually do it?

And while we are at it, here is a somewhat full list of questions:

1. Forgive my ignorance, is there any difference between "curse" and "hex"?
2. How can I confirm there is, or is not an actual curse on me?
3. Do you think I can deal with this myself, or do I have to find someone to remove the curse for me?
4. In the process, is it better to appeal to a higher power? Because I don't have any...
5. If there was no curse, can I damage myself this way?
6. Is there any way to confirm success?

But, most of all:

7. How do I remove a curse?

7. How do I remove a curse?

1) I normally put them all together. From my experience... a curse is something that is placed upon someone as a sort of ''grudge'' that doesn't really stop until the person forgives you. Most people ask a deity or spirit of some kind to curse a person, that way you not only need their forgiveness but the forgiveness of that person. A hex would be any other manner of destruction spell that is generally misfortune and suffering but not very long in time. This is my understanding of it.

2) Find a psychic. However, you shouldn't need a psychic. If you can't validate within that you are cursed, you probably aren't.

3)You can get help but really it is more of ''assisting'' in you removing the curse. It is placed on your head and so if you are cursed, then you are the only one that can save yourself

4)Sometimes it is but not necessarily. You have to figure out the nature of the curse and how it was placed upon you before you can remove it.

5)No

6)''Relief or peace''

7) Already stated above. You could also find a priest of some kind to help you.

devakxes, thanks for your speedy reply. I'll consider searching for a psychic. Unfortunately, all of my magic experiments and learning I did myself, with only the help of Internet. Still, I know a couple of people who might know a couple of people... I just don't want to get the issue out among my close friends.

I think I can perceive a faint blackness around the area of the chest and below as I look at myself. But my perception is not very reliable. As to the feeling of burden... Sometimes I feel that strongly, but I really have nothing to compare to. That thing is with me from the time when I wasn't very self-aware. But aware enough to remember the possible culprit.

With so much time passed it now looks almost like "It's always been like this".
