Hello. So a few days ago, i made my first sigil, asking for something very 'bad', in other words to harm an enemy. It probably wont work, since i dont have experience on the field.
Still, I would like to know if the threefold rule applies since im asking for something bad? Should i have done a protection ritual first? What are the consequences? thank you

I don't know about the consequences perhaps others will. but yeah, you probably should have done some form of protection.

MarkAntony,
As you are honest enough to own up to not having experience in this field I shall do my best to put your mind at rest.
No, your sigil based spell wont work because you yourself quote 'it probably wont work'.
There is a commonly held statement within sorcery that the three ingredients NEEDED for a successful working is 'will, desire and belief'. What I get from your initial post is a subliminal doubt, which would negate any benefits of 'belief' that may have been there at the outset of your plan.
I tend to think that the usual presentation of those three prerequisites is presented the wrong way round and should be offered in the order of Belief, desire and will. Whats the point of spending time & effort if one does not believe.
I congratulate you on your fledgling attempts but I should think about the three prerequisites when next you try. Please keep us informed as to the success or failure of your next foray into sigil work.

As to the rule of three, in my opinion that wiccan thing is a pile of fertiliser used as a guilt trip safety net. What I do before any working is spend a couple of days working out how a working could bounce of other people connected to the target and return to me via an others related loss.

Best wishes and good luck,
Ahrazura

If your sigil magick works anything like mine you will end up "blessing" your enemy instead of cursing them. Be ready to see them get some healing and prosperity. That is why I do not do random sigils anymore (it ended up doing the opposite of what I wanted.)

If you are correcting a wrong, then it won't affect you.

i completly agree with Ahrazura, if you dont believe and diretct your energy into it then of coarse it will fail.

if you preformed something to do harm on anyone you still wished harm on someone enough to meditate on it and even cast a spell.
not everyone has rules or redes to abide by
But you still put anger out into the universe depends on how far you went.
I still believe that if you "conjured" up enough anger to do this kind of energy then that person that you dislike has more power on you then you might be even aware of.
You basically let whatever that person do bother you so much you focused time and energy on that person I say that person won.
To Untie a spell suprisingly enough is more complicated then casting a spell to begin with.
Its hard to stop an avalanche or a flood once it begins the energy is already in motion.
Shielding from it at this point is usless, its like if we were in a room together and I puched you as hard as a could then crossed my fingers and wished really hard you wouldnt get hurt or take offence or that my actions never had consequences.
Do I think your spell worked? Probably not.. But that doesnt mean you got away with it.
1. the person really got you to use energy and time and meditate on him.
2. put negative energy out, where you think its gonna go?
If your feeling this way about it now? I dont think I need to tell you where your energy went.
Have you heard the term "The person who strikes first lost the fight to begin with?"
Bottom line you need to pull up your Big boy pants and deal with it straight on.
Like my Mum always says you made your bed now have fun playing in it.
