Hi everyone. I am so happy that I have found that forum, hope to gain a lot of new knowledge here. And about my English, it is not perfect so for any mistakes which were made or are going to be made, I am sorry.

That is everything for the start,

GS.

I see there is a thread dedicated to him. I will try not to follow his steps :)

anyway, I think that this forum is very useful, it is true that sometimes there is so many different opinions but debate still takes place on a high level.

What is wrong with my ''name''? It has a deep meaning for me, I wouldn't found this forum wihout it.

You are very wise.

Welcome to the forum, GraveyardSlut. May you stay long enough to give me many opportunities to address you with that rather wonderfully debauched name.

Well thank you all for your warm welcome, it feels nice, because after staying naked at the graveyard I catched a cold :)

Graveyardslut,
You would not have happened to have an odd toad bone with you in that graveyard would you ?

And welcome,
Ahrazura.

And to them that don't know, Never underestimate the worth and power of dirt from the bone garden !!!

Or that of valerian root as an easily obtainable substitute.

@ GraveyardSlut
I was wondering, what R U into?

I am completely new, I just started dealing with magic, I started with basic meditation and basic reading, especially of chaos magic. And I started it, because of few strange things happening to me lately. So I tried shielding myself to.
Well thats the reason to join this forum, I actually don't know anyone who is dealing with occult, there is a few i know who are into wicca, but I just can't feel that path.
As I can assume (@astral eye) you're dealing with astral projection... well, i know a little about it, 'cuz a friend practice it and it turned bad, well he was young in those days, but still.

Oh dear, what a confused comment I have written. Well, I am looking forward for some guidance (not an teacher, because I want to descover for myself) and I hope I'll get it some here.

Hope my English isn't so dreadful and hard for understand.

Hey there and welcome. I'd imagine that meditation and reading are probably more enjoyable than freezing naked in a graveyard! Don't worry about your English...mine can be pretty atrocious, particularly after several rounds of whiskey. ;)

Yes, I do use some astral energies, but I work with spirits and summoning them, but I allso practice necromancy, shamanism, sorrcery, wicca and am studying elementalism.

Well, from posts I can only guess that there is a lot of quite experienced members on this forum. As I already had written, I am not like that, YET.
@astral eye: you have to be a very busy by learning, exploring and practicing all that...

Well, experience is always relative, so you are probably already more experienced than you realize, GraveyardSlut (Yes! I got to type the name!) ;)
To me, the most effective magick most often uses "basic" methods anyway, so I think you're on the right track by building on the foundation you've set for yourself. You mentioned that you've had strange things happen (not sure what "strange" really is anymore) and that you've already done some shielding and such. These things give you a degree of experience that someone else may not have, so you might be able to help another person by sharing what you've learned too.

I would also advise working primarily with one aspect of magickal development for a while (divination, astral work, energy work, candle magick, sigils, or whatever) until you feel you've gained more confidence in that area before working with too many other areas. You don't want to diminish your efforts by spreading yourself too thin. And you can (and will) always add to your magickal toolbox in time.

I'm only 13, and while I've loved magick all my life, I really started properly at the age of 10, and that's been in secret, hiding it from my mum. She doesn't like me doing this stuff, but oh well. Don't worry, your probebly more experienced than me, just I have a wide range of interests

That is a really useful advice. I guess I a have to be more focused for the start, maybe the progress will be more visible then and it will be easier to clear some things that I still don't uderstand.
Thank you :)

Well, there is certainly something to be said for that now, isn't there? :)

Thank you for agreeing with my post, by the way. I know from my own experience that it's easy to get overwhelmed with things, and have your overall effectiveness suffer as a result. Think big, start small, and build.

@Ghost of Shaolin: I admit that last weekend I read a lot, all forums and threads and then from monday I tried to focuse (still in process) so I understand your advice.
But I think it is the same with most of things. Lets say that I am very very hungry and I am going to the restaurant and make an order. Sure I'll order too much food...:o

Yes, I think you're probably right there, and it is definitely that way with most things. The traditional Daoist approach is to never be too full, and that includes eating. But, I don't always follow that either. And sometimes, the best thing to do is "empty" our heads of all the readings, advice and information we're given too.
