Not really sure about a computer being on the list or daily practice.

Books, however, are essential.

Knowing yourself is another occult necessity, probably above all. So, life experience is of the highest importance.

I noticed books mention. I wonder, could you be more specific? My aim with this list is to create a list that would be of use to people just starting out. I remember when I started I didn't know what I'd need, what I wouldn't, etc.

i am the only list. no necessities needed and never have been. well a computer for the forums i run but that is it.

Jing, Qi, Shen. Will, intention, focus. Patience, belief, perseverance. The only place to find these tools is within oneself. So, I guess I'd say those are the necessities.

In terms of books, I'm a little leery of making my list of essentials (it's a conspiracy). Maybe more later.
