Hello,
After studying the occult for some time now, I feel like I need a fresh start.
My foundation is in the field of Tarot reading. After a while I started learning the Laveyan Satanism art, and indeed now I consider myself as one. As I moved through the fields I kept bumping into necromancy. Although not fully understandable, it's a subject that kept my mind busy over the years.
I read most of the articles on the Necromancy forum. There are some exercises to be performed, but I still feel as if I'm not ready to start this unholy practice before I grasp the concept of the art.
As I'm currently a student, and also work to earn my living, I find it hard to practice something daily for now. Therefore I want to focus on understanding the art and it's concept.

I'd much appreciate it if someone would be able to direct me to find knowledge on the matter. Also, I'd love to talk to a person who has a grasp on the concept.

Help would be appreciated

I am a necromancer i training, but I suck at explaining stuff, but basically, a necromancer achieves his goals through the manipulation of death energy. This quite frequently involves ghosts, wraiths, ghasts and other forms of un-dead. It may sometimes involve the worship of a death god, must this is not ascential.

I've probably done a rubbish job, and if I've made no sence to you so far, soryy and I suggest you ask Darius. He's a very knowledgeable necromancer and one of the most active on the board.

After some reading I realize now how my path led me to Necromancy. I am a satanist, and use tarot for divination. Necromancy was used for divination, and was manipulated by the left hand, often satanist cults.

E-Zads: I read about Liber Falxifer and it indeed sounds like a valuable book in the field. I shall read about the cults philosophy more before I decide to purchase. Thank you for the info

Astral Eye: I understand what Necromancy is roughly. What I needed are more details on the subject like the philosophy of the art, and it's logic. I try to contact Darius right now but it's a bit hard with o way to PS someone.
Also, which information sources did yo use to study the art?

I have mainly taught myself. I have used some sites, but these forum's are my main source. Teaching yourself is both rewarding and extremely hard. One book that can be usefull is the Key of Solomon (I can't remember if it was the higher or lower) but it is not specific to necromancy

Necromantic spells are supposed to work by harvesting "death energy". This is supposed to be collected while performing rituals. In these rituals your goal is to reach a state of mind or I guess a trance where you become one with your own death, thus generating the energy into an object you wish to make powerful or a situation you want control over. That is at least what I have learned from those who practice it around me, but like everything else, meanings and methods change where ever you go.

Thanks Darius and Hot tea. I've read the philosophy in Ars Falcis, and it made me understand the art. Soon I will start practicing it.

Darius, I might need help in my path, I'll keep you posted :)
Thanks again

Yeah i have been studying this also i heard of the undead servants and stuff as well. I have felt a ghoul-like zombie near me then behind me. Though i believe necromancers are physics because you have to be in order to contact the dead.

I've talked briefly with Darius and read Ars Falcis along with some other sources. I've also read some historical works on necromancy as well as work by Cavendish and Wendell. I still felt however, at the end of the day, that its just as valid to consider the approaches or others as it is to look to experimentation and personal revelation / unverified personal gnosis. I am of the belief that necromancy has alot to do with relationships and mediumship, and less about controlling spirits. I've never been a supporter of the idea that we can control spirits.
