The night is peacful and silent. I am most creative at night, I've written most of the poems and my music during the night. Nobody is disturbing me, calling me, knocking on my doors. During my college I studyed almost always in the night time.

Problem appeared when I got the job, then I started to get up early in the morning and I needed to sleep at night ;)

I LOVE the day and night times. I love the life and warmth of the day, and I like the cool tranquility of the night. But if I were to pick a favorite, it'd definitely be night. Nobody's bothering me, it's much more peaceful, and it just gives me the alone time I need :-)

Yes, night seems for some the best time for almost anything.

After learning that the brain only needs 5.5h sleep in 24h to function well (for an adult that is), it took a weight off my shoulders. Now I can have my nights and enjoy them too, as long as make sure I get 5.5h in the 24h, I will stay well.

Are you sure 5.5 is enough? I have tried 6 but it doesn't work out for me.

There is something about the night, so magickal, mysterious & so sensual, & yet there is something also very beautiful about early morning, especially the time before the sun rises. I was always a night person but I dont like waking up in the afternoon, the day looks so stale & my head feels heavy for some reason whenever I wake that late.
Personally, I feel very vibrant & active after 12 am but there is something very special about the time from about 3 am to 7 am, so i am trying to incorporate a schedule in which I can sleep at about 10 pm & wake up at 3 am, (I always feel the need for less sleep when I sleep early) as 3 am is the most beneficial time for the occult, in that way I can have the pleasure of both the night & the morning.

i go to bed at 7:30 pm and i wake up at 2am, and this is when i am at my strongest. i am an elemental vampire and must feed at certain times.

Thats the perect time, to me at least.
I would like to incorporate it but very few of us have the privelege of sleeping that early.

Yes, for the brain that is. It's the latest study that has come out. I belong to a research group where we get the latest info on brain studies etc. It's amazing really what has come up lately. This 5.5h is the minimum what the brain can function with (well). But if you are one of the ones that can sleep longer, enjoy it. It has to do with how the brain has been conditioned/programmed. Some simply can't sleep for various reasons, trauma etc. for them it is a relief, as there is now evidence that you wont damage your brain, by not sleeping like others do.

I have the sleep disorder delayed sleep phase syndrome, where the body naturally wants to sleep during the day and awake at night. I must say it's good I prefer the night anyways hehe. Luckily I've found a job and a lover who work well with it (he has it too and I work nights).
