I'm a new member and will post a proper introduction at some point, but was just curious if anyone knows any information about this image I found while browsing around the 'net?

I think I get the general idea behind it, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't some deeper hidden meaning or reference that I was oblivious to.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

The basic idea of tha diagram is to represent "as above so below". It basicaly is a sign of harmony between forces.

Well, the obvious is that it's an altered image of the Great Seal of the United States. The motto and "Star of David" formation seems Hermetic in nature. I do notice a couple of things, though. The hole in the center suggests that it was taken from artwork on a compact disc. The other curious thing is that the MDCCLXXM at the base of the inverted pyramid is meaningless as a roman numeral. The original, of course, is MDCCLXXVI (1776.) It's likely that the image is from some band that wanted mystical looking artwork on their album, and not actually a meaningful magical symbol.
