I am one who works with the elements. I would like to see others post what they know and ask any thing they may want.

The Elemental Spirits are very strong in their own rights... when called upon during spells and rituals, their primal raw energy can greatly enhance all forms of Witchery. Even when not performing Spellcraft, they can still assist you for just about any other purpose. For example, calling to an Undine while facing the elemental gateway of water to help aid you in meditation or help restore emotinal balance; summoning a Sylph to lend you some inspiration/creativity or clear the mind... Show them the utmost respect with sincerity in your heart and they will bless ye!

I HAVE NOT REALLY TRYED TO DO ANY ELEMENTS IN MY SPELLS BUT I WOULD LOVE THE HELP IF I DO TRY. DOSE ANY ONE KNOW AN EASY OR BEGINNER SPELL WITH THE ELEMENTS THAT I CAN TRY. THINKS CAUSE THIS IS RELLY INTREGING TO ME AND I WANT TO LEARN EVERYTHING I CAN SO I WILL KNOW WHAT I AM DOING. ANY HELP WILL BE APRECHATTED AND HOPEFUL.

What do I know? I know that the four elements are Greek in origin and an extention of our natural binary way of thinking. The fifth is just an extention of that. That's not to say that the building blocks of existence are Greek in origin, only that our perception of them in Western occultism is. I think what you're talking about with elemental spirits is just the four elements concept applied to animism.

Here's what I want to know: When you call the elements from the four corners, do you see them as extentions of yourselves or as wholly outside entities that are answering to your call?

I have only been working with the elements in meditation, experiencing them getting to know
them but subconsciously play with the element of Fire to many times

many years apart

I put one fire out myself the other fire department had to be called !!!

one of the first things one should learn is respect for the elements !!

So true, but some have to learn the hard way, I'm afraid.

The hard way is the only way to truly learn anything, if they don't they are more useless than a salt lick in the rain during the non- mating seasons, you stand in the tree stand stupidly. Do you see a mountain goat stopping her kid from taking it's first few steps on the rugged face of a mountain? no, she let's it sail or fly in the literal school of hard knocks even if it means death to it.

I can't not work with elemental essences. It's such an integrated part of my daily life that I can't imagine doing anything that didn't involve them.

Something I do now is that I find that I naturally "tune" myself into the current "ruling" element depending on the season (i.e. - Fall: Water, Winter: Earth, Spring: Air, Summer: Fire.) With this in mind, I try to make it my primary focus in all of my magickal and mystical undertakings for that period. And I use this to increase my understanding of myself and the environment around me.

I know that some people are drawn to certain elements and work better with the elements that they are drawn to.

There are many different aspects involved that draw people to certain the elements.

you might think earth signs would be drawn to the element earth but the wrench in the equation is how the persons astrological chart is set up which draws them to the element that they are drawn to.

I myself am a Capricorn ( earth sign ) but am drawn to the element of fire which is in the first house of personality, and I do like fire

I am an air sign and true I love to whistle up a storm but the rain which comes with the storms gives me great happiness. It must be a combination and I have stood outside in noreasters soaking up the energy as the storm raged around me. As Odin said he likes fire, I like storms.

I guess again being a Earth sign I am also drawn to the Winter the coolness and the dryness but a good blizzard, with the elements of the Air, wind blowing, the different aspect of the element of water ( snow ) back in doors and warming by the element of Fire

And now we at this point we can add the fifth element of Spirit ( well this kind you drink ) to warm the insides

I was born on the Aquarius/Pisces cusp and, fittingly, I have an affinity for not just the sky, but the sky with clouds. I'm drawn to air and to water-as-mist. I also have an affinity for the sun, which is also appropriate considering...

I have been noticing that the people that I see and associate with and know their birth sign, the sun sign and see the colors that they are drawn to like to wear.

I'll use myself as an example sun sign Capricorn and am drawn toward the dark earth colors the dark brown, blacks

A friend of mine who has the Sun Sign of Gemini ( air sign ) is drawn towards the color of yellow.

does anybody else notice this

Odin. I have worked with all the elements and notice at different seasons I am drawn to the element that goes with the season. Being a Gemini with Taurus rising makes me gravitate towards Air but working with air as such I use the earth and water (rain) . Fire I do use, but not as much. It is not that I do not like fire, it is I feel stronger pull in the other direction.

She's here but I have no idea where she went. Perhaps she will show up and let us know.

I like the element of surprise best.

Sorry, couldn't stop myself.Lol.

To reiterate a previous post I like mixed elements, watery Air -mist ,fog and icy winds.

Watery Earth, mud and clay - good for models and tablet charms - but fired, so Earthy Fire and Air comes into that too.

I like to think that mixed well, they are more than the sum of their parts and stronger in energies together. I like that.

I am the opposite, I like to work with fire in the winter and water in the summer, find it a good way to keep my own energies balanced.

I am an earth sign and that is my "favorite" element.
