Can anyone recommend any good books on talismans and amulets. what i mean by this is like the ones that use alot of planetary symbols and like hebrew, latin or celestial glyphs, or angelic symbols and seals, planetary pentacles. The really strange occultic looking ones covered in strange symbols.

Donald Kraig's Modern Magic has an excellent talisman section. The Robert Cunningham book that deals specifically with talismans is also a good primer.

What about The Black Pullet?

"The Clavis or Key to the Magic of Solomon" by Peterson (definately much more than and different than the 19th century Grimoire 'the greater key of solomon'), "The Sixth & Seventh Books of Moses", also by Peterson, "The Treasure of the Old Man of the Pyramids" (the ORIGINAL 'Black Pullet', with different talismans altogether), "The Veritable Key of Solomon" (also a different Solomonic book), "Archidoxes of Magic" by Paracelsus, and "The Secret Grimoire of Turiel". All of these contain talismanic magic and are in print.
Enjoy

There is a new book coming out about 'the Folger Manuscript" written about the time of Shakespear that contains talismans and seals. A very interesting book indeed. Get it!
