greetings all

first post here,
something that has been on my mind for almost 1o years now.

i had this intensely amazing dream. it basically went for years so i won't go all through the dream but will mention why it's been still so strong - the parts that seem 'significant' and ask some things...

ok, so it began with myself and a couple of friends on a beach, i closed my eyes for a second, opened them and the everything was the same except i was alone, the sky was purple, the ocean was orange with huge green rocks. l felt something waiting for me so i just followed the feeling.

at the back of the beach was an endless mountain of rocks. smooth and long, as though a long path way. at the top it was covered with beings - i could not make out if human or not but felt as though they were waiting. a small 'thing' stood in front of me - small body, round white plastic head in tuxedo holding a huge crystal. he communicated to me via mind - somehow i knew what it was for (but of course there was still confusion) - and he gave me the crystal. it was though all these beings were there to watch this event. but, he was giving me something that was extremely important (i don't know what though)

anyway .. all sort of vague stuff happened after. but two parts of the dream still have a deep impression. one was a place i went to, alone with a fire stick. deep into the earth, rock pillars with all this writing poured off and into me - as though all the knowledge of everything came into me and i was one with everything. it was quite amazing.

after this it seemed as though i lived out my days in this forest where i was communicating with everything around me with my mind. i remember calling a horse with my mind and one came running...i seemed really connected to this place.

now, this forest has been remembered in other dreams (years after) - out of no-where. i seem to remember it in dreams and go looking for it. i have found it twice.

i have never been much of a dream recaller. i was never good lucid dreaming etc...

the 'power' of the dream lasted weeks. someone mentioned that it could have been an initiation - i've never really outlined it before, just to close friends who were more like 'fuuucking cool' - i am sure there is something about it though and would love some other insights....

mainly - has anyone experienced this before?

also, i have wanted to contact that white plastic headed being again - is this possible? and how do i find this forest at will again? and of course the place of all knowledge? - as i said, i have not been much good at lucid dreaming etc.. so any advice would be great.

thanks in advance

the answer to everything at the end is simple... meditation. If you want to revisit a place you've seen in a dream, trance, etc you just hold as much detail as you can remember in your mind while meditating. It will take you there, allow you to speak to the being, etc. again.

The place sounds much like what I call an Inner Sanctuary. Basically a place you return to for trance work, communicating with beings, astral workings, or just to ground yourself.

I agree. Inner Sanctuary, Sacred Space, etc. Whatever you want to call it. You can go there as often as you'd like.

iza - no need to read to much into thread title. i never know how to title these things.

thanks for the responses. i have tried meditation and visualisations prior to sleep to no avail. :(

inner sanctuary? never heard of such a place - so obviously a good place to research then? - any place of recommendation, books/ sites/ etc that can explain further. can go any time? yes, please!

In my experience, the presence of visions while in a dream state can mean any number of things, because a knowledge spell is not being directly cast. Normally, I classify the various forms of knowledge as follows.

Divination: What is to come.
Scrying: What is.
Pensive: what was.

I'm not entirely sure which of these it may be, that is for you to decipher. Often if a dream has imprinted or is repeating, it will continue to do so until it's purpose is realized.

So for starts, here's what I would do. Get out the symbol dictionary. Anything and everything experienced within a dream has a purpose or an under-lying meaning that can be seen through symbolism. This takes the form of texture, color, scent, shape, ect. Once all of these have been taken into consideration, something should form. This method has never failed me before. :)

Dreams are powerful, surreal and draw upon symbolism that may lie deep within you to understand. It is unlikely the dream points (or pointed) to any one single thing in your past, present or future.

Did it help you understand anything? Do you ever feel that messages from the dream come to you to help you? Maybe it fulfilled a purpose in your life at that time which no longer exists so you don't need to go back to it or to contact the being?
