Greetings, I would seem to be your newest member. I'm going to talk about myself a bit, so if you don't care, don't read.

I am actually first and foremost a musician; I play guitar, bass and keyboards. I listen to a wide variety of music, but I find my own creations tend towards experimental metal. I also write interactive fiction and short stories, and I am a novice computer programmer.

I'm really fairly new to magic and the occult in general, having become interested after reading an article about Aleister Crowley. This motivated me to seek out more knowledge on the subject. Being a creative individual, and an individualist, I have found myself gravitating towards chaos magic (as well as the Satanism of Anton LaVey).

If anyone has any thoughts on any of this, or some recommended reading for a newbie, I would be grateful.

Thanks for the welcome, Darius. For one, I wondered if anyone here had any recommended books on the subject. I am aware of Liber Kaos, Psychonaut, and the other formative literature, but are there any other books that might be useful to me?

I've been reading a bit of Spare. Interesting stuff.

Hello. Iza does read all the introductions, and has become a very proficient occultist as a result. I believe that Austin Osman Spare was an absolute genius and master sorcerer, perhaps on the level of Crowley in his field. I'd also recommend Phil Hine's "Condensed Chaos" for reading material in the Chaos paradigm.
