Now as a man who considers himself a laveyan Satanist, and is about to register for active membership, there is a question I feel needs serious consideration. The COS was formed out of a magick circle that met at Lavey's house. The Satanic Bible contains rituals, and one of the cardinal rules is not to deny magick when it has benefited you. Why then does the current High Priest, Peter Gilmore, dismiss it? It seems to have become an official stance of the Church. I have read or seen no explanation for the transition, merely the news that it occurred.
