These boards is not a novelty-item. If you use it, there are things that will not bother you until you are at your weakest. Then, bad stuff can happen. If you want entertainment, I recommend a Playstation 3. Or a good PC or XBOX. When somebody asks me about those boards for occult purposes, I usually recommend Tarot-cards instead. They are safer.

I just had a conversation with a friend where I gave some spells to him. You see, he used a oujia-board. You shouldn't do that. These boards have a tendency to open the veil more then is good for a non-fortified mind. Magic opens more possibilities to reality. This is not a good thing. When you get afraid because shadows are moving in a suspect way, you have gone too far and you should be more careful. But, we all do that. I have never used the board, but I have done some other mistakes myself. I have been involved in clearing up the mess these boards make, though. That's why I don't use them.

I do not like teaching the secrets of magic to others, because magic requires a lot from people. It will allow you to see things you wouldn't dream of. But, it comes with a price. It is not always that the practitioners will tell you about the price, because the price might be something that has to do about your weaknesses. But, my friend had already opened the doors, and he needed to know about the veil and what lies beyond it. In order to stay safe, he had to learn a thing or two.

My friend has problems with the board moving by itself and whispering voices teaching him dark blessings that are not good. He also started to see dead people. These abilities look good on TV, but they are more of a burden then a gift. There was a time when those who had the blessing would be revered. Today we live in a society where the practitioners carry out their work in secret. Some things are not for all, there are reasons for that.

I don't use one, but only becuase they don't call to me. They seem laborius and involve alot of hassle for the spirit. Why not just talk?

Mrs. Peel is one of the few who knows the other side. She is famous, I've been lucky enough to attend one of her seances. She's a trip just to see her in action. A Ouija Board won't work for anyone, so I'd say just fucking let it go, not everybody has that ability to communicate with the dead.

It might be that some are able to handle the boards, but if you are going to try such a board, you should have a mentor that knows about these things. And there are many people who think they know, or bluff about what they know. So, even with a mentor it might be hard to use a board. I heard about many who had problems with those boards, so I can't recommend them. With a good guide and a strong mind, it might be doable. But, not without. Just had to say so, because I don't like tidying up after people who used those boards the wrong way.

Besides, the people who are into the occult should try to not give others bad PR. For instance, a friend of mine got contacted to help with a house that had strange activity. Turns out the previous owners had made some pretty nasty occult stuff into the foundation of the house. When the new owners learned what was built in their house, they were kind of worried. Occultists should not build strange structures that scares the public. And if they do, they should have the decency to tidy up after they are done with them. Those innocent new home-owners had to live with a scary house for months before they got help.

Normal people worry get worried pretty fast. Just look at the news, people are scared of everything these days. Perhaps that is the main problem with those boards: That they are marketed to the general public? The problem with that hypothesis is that Tarot is marketed to everybody too, and there is no trouble with those cards. I think Tarot is like a car, and Oujia-boards are powerful motorcycles. One has more risk then the other.

I personally think that alot of the hype created about how "bad using the ouija" is, is nothing more than opposing religious views. Fanatical Christians, or good actors that can fake a seizure at the right time, or talk in a funny voice to scare whoever else may be using it with them.
And no offense, but in my experience it seems most of the people who talk about how it opens a portal to let out evil things, or is a doorway for destructive forces, are people who wouldn't know an invocation or possession if it bit em in the keester.
The ouija is just as harmless as using the tarot, or any other form of divination. If your stupid and looking for something bad, something bad will manifest itself. If you use it as a spiritual tool and do it wisely, your just fine.
