My Grandpa's house is home to at least two ghosts. 1 of them is a boy of about 7. He appears only in one place, the door to the dining room, peeking around the doorframe, like he is playing hide-and-seek. The other is a man in a soldiers uniform and stands over my grandmother and wakes her up throwing bed sheets around and turning lights on and off another happened when I was camping when I was nine. I had laid out jeans for the next day when they flew at me and the legs kept whipping at me

my daughters both see ghosts. my 6 year old seems to only see the ghosts of children but my 16 year old sees all types of ghosts. once she saw and talked to the ghost of someone killed my eric rudoloph. she is afraid to talk to them most of the time or to confront them and see what thier business is here. one strange occurance was when my 6 year old was talking to a ghost by the name of "Asheley". the child ghost was wearing a pretty dress according to my little one and she talked and played with her daily. my oldest daughter saw the same ghost (i believe it was the same one) who was wearing tattered clothing and said her name was "abby". when i confronted my little one she said "asheley" "wears whatever you want her to wear" seeing and talking to ghosts is not my specialty but couldn't the understanding of the name have been heard differently by each of my daughters?

6-7 months ago, my brothers fiancee came down to visit for the weekend, during that time I got a new ghost that was coming in, a teenage boy who got shot in the head and the first night she kept hearing someone walking down the hallway calling your name...okay not that bad typical ghost behavior i had a nice talk with it about the rules of my house for ghosts which is when its just me you guys can parade around the house pretty much (i am the only one that knows things so i take responsibility for making sure none of them cause harm) second night the ghost came to where she was sleeping and attacked her, i wasnt there this night when i heard about it in the morning the ghost was snickering around the corner from me, i barracaded my door got my tools and banished it. thats the most recent experiance, right now i have a protection spell set up so my home is a place with set rules it goes back to the theory that you are the master of your house you descide what comes in and what goes out its a b***** to put up, but it effects are great. Even my friends feel the "do not do anything or youll pay" vibe its quite amusing

I've got too many encounters to tell :D

My first experience was creepy for me; I was at my cousins and sitting in the wreck behind their house (I was 12). We looked into the middle of the field and there was a man standing there in black 2 secs later he disappeared.

From then on I would here spirits/energies/ghosts talking, not directly at me but going about their daily business. I soon learnt that spirits will communicate with you if they and when they want to, this also goes with them presenting themselves as a form to you (keeping in mind that you can not demand a spirit to show themselves). A majority of medium types don't see spirits in front of them, so it confused me at the start why I could hear these voices and not see the people they belonged to (I thought I was nuts lol).

Fast forwards years and my most major experience was with James 1st, in a village called Hitchen. He was a nasty man when he was alive, hatd women, called them wh*res and wenches, would assault and rape them at his own free will. He didn't like me being there, I got pushed by him all of 3 times in that one night, all with enough force to knock me over, he would hiss in my ear a lot, tell me to 'f*ck off' and call me a 'c*nt', nice man really lol

I rarely have energies in my own home, I make them aware that this is my personal space, if they want to enter, they have to ask (most abide by that, others, well.........). Usually about a week prior to an investigation, I will have a visit from a spirit who is related to the location we would be visiting (I don't know the locations until we get there/or leave for there). Most that visit just want to say hi and others want me to know something about their past or if there is bad waiting for us.

At the moment, I have an older lady in my home, only because this was her home before she passed. She means no harm and leaves me much to my own, she does keep my 16 month old son entertained with pulling faces and singing :eek:

Well for me most of my experiences as far as dealing with ghosts mostly derive at home.

I have had at least two encounters so far since about 2 years ago. For as long as I can remember I have been having some sort of entity that's been trying to get in touch with me.

Any how on to the experience. About last year some time between march and april I had one of my very first encounters, It was during the night I was in bed sleeping I think it was between 11:30pm and 12am I was awoken by my bed shaking as if by its own means. Puzzled I thought what the hell. I got up trying to figure out what was going on that's when I was confronted by this thick black giant mass. I was startled of course not sure what to think of this it didn't seem like much at start just got a very cold feeling. Went back to bed then I got the feeling of being watched. I brushed it off tried to go back to sleep... That's when this giant mass of what ever it was traveled from my closet area and managed to make its way on top of me. Wide eyed awake I could see this darkness covering me then I watched as my vision started to fade I quickly got out of bed turned on the light and there was nothing there.

I thought was it what I thought I saw or was it in my head?

Mine haven't all been good, I get scared from encounters at times, I've had one that scared the living daylights out of me, to the point that i moved home. Pinned me down to my bed when I was sleeping, woke up and couldn't move etc, I think I've written about it on here already. The problem was with the place I was staying, Cyprus has a very renowned history for blood shed, the latest being in 1974 when the turkish invaded, killed, raped and took over the north of the island. I was living 1 mile from the 'green line', which is the border between the north and the south. this line has a no man's land, where there are still mines etc, about 100 - 400 yards in width and hasn't been touched since the war (amazing to see but hard for me to be around).

The Island has a vast history of Turkish ottoman invading, raping and killing........this is the negative energy who attacked me.

There is a tourist part of no man's land where you can look over, every time I went there, I would hear the screaming of women and children, see residual energies replaying their final moments..........it was too overwhelming to be around.

With the good, you have to take the bad. This is a gift but it can also be a burden and one and I do try as much as I can to help those spirits that need/want it.

My encounter happened a few months ago. I was sleeping alone in my house and it was about 3 am. I was asleep but somehow heard a strange, scary, unpleasant noise as if somebody was screaming in horror. That noise put me in a half-awake half-asleep state but I could definitely feel some presence approaching my bed from the side where I was. In my half-asleep state of mind I remember trying to press buttons on my mobile desperately trying to get some help from somebody. At that point I woke up. That noise was like something I'd never heard before. I think it was half-astral/half-physical noise. Then I fell asleep again and had a vivid and bloody nightmare about a young woman being butchered by two men with masks on their faces. A couple of years ago there has been a murder on my street close to my house and a young woman was knifed to death by her ex-boyfriend who is mentally-ill. I think my experience is connected with that. I hope her soul rests in peace.

Another experience I've had a few times is something knocking on the window downstairs in the middle of the night when I'm in bed. Always at around 1 am.

at approximately age 7 i saw what some conclusions tell me was my aunts friend shortly after death.. this is the one and only time i have actually seen a ghost.

i was racing around grandma's house with my cousin, back and forth the length of the house.. touch the front door then the back door and back.. or something like that, it varied from day to day.. anyway, i was in the lead and touching the back door mid lap.. i still had the sprint to the front door to win.. so as i'm touching the door i glance out the window, the glance turns into a stare, the stare turns into loss of all attention on anything but what i was looking at.. it felt like time slowed down almost to a stop as i was watching a girl in all white with long hair pat my aunts cat on the steps of the porch.. ok this would be acceptable if she wasn't glowing.. and her complexion is too white.. and her clothes.. and her hair.. they are almost all the same soft glowing white.. and she's petting the cat, he's rubbing against her leg with his tail in the air.. and she looks up at me and smiles and winks, i promptly came out of it and fell on my ass.. i was in the middle of turning around to run the other way when the window caught my attention in the first place.. i had only been looking out for a few seconds before i fell, then i jumped up instantly and the cat was staring at me like he just saw a ghost i swear.. every single hair on his body was standing straight up, he was in the same exact position he was when she was petting him.. his tail was in the air.. but now it was puffed out like he got electrocuted and he looked me straight in the eyes with exactly the fear and confusion i'm sure he saw in mine.. because there was no girl on the porch or in the backyard anywhere.. then my cousin tapped me on the shoulder bragging she won the race.. when i turned around she saw the look on my face and thought i was sick, she started yelling to ppl i was going to throw up.. grandma came running and said my face was pale.. asking if i was ok.. i told them all and i think my cousin almost believed me.. no one else did, who knows..

I think i have the ability to see the spirits but i blocked it,when i was little i was seeing a lot of things and the strange part is if someone was with me they would see it to so im not crazy :D.
My fist encounter i can remeber is when i was 6-7 years old i was with my little brother he was 4-5 y old we are in our apartment my mother and my father were cooking in the kitchen and we were playing,and at a moment we wanted to go in the living ,the light was out but we cound see because there was light from the kitchen,in the living was an old man with a cap on his head and another one in his hand and he was smiling at us and he had several gold tooth,of course we got really scared and runned to the kitchen crying,another one was that i was seeing all the time a mummy life female i mean she was dressed all in black but i coundt see her face and she was rapped in something like cloth just like a mummy around her arms and face and i had seen this entity many times where ever i went and one time i was with my friends playing i was like 9-10 y old and they seen it to and got really really scared :).
The most nasty one was when i was on my grandma apartment and we were talking on the phone with my uncle and from the sudden i've seen many shadows coming to the door of the balcony and the door of the living and hearing whispers i couldt understand they were so many and i was scared they were gonna enter the room ,then i started to scream in fear that really really was terrifing and from that night i stopped seeing things until recently i think i blocked the ability i want to see spirits again but im scared of it to.

My latest encounter is when an entity attacked my brother and me,but i think i had something to do with it.We were returning home from work to our rented apartment and i found a really stupid game to play :| i was asking my brother for what he would sell his soul :| , and we were talking about other things to i was getting bored with that stupid game and all the sudden i see my brother becomes silent and pale i ask him what happened and he tells me to keep walking because a shadow passed near him and his arm is frozen,after he said that i've heard from behind a sound like many many ppl were running towards me but i believed someone was playing a prank on us but when i turned there was nobody there ,then i got scared walked a few steppes and in front us i coundt see nothing but i could feel it and hear it it was a powerfull sound like a storm but it was coming from a single spot it was like i cound see it but not with my eyes,and the sound was growing more powerfull and the fear too,it was like a mix of whispers and a powerfull storm sound my brother stopped moving he was very pale then i took my pentagram in hand and starting to pray and tell that thing to go away i dont have anything to do with it and i dont want to,and the entity stopped after a few seconds.
My brother was scared and confused i was scared to but kinda happy,i can't explain what it was,if you have any suggestions im happy to hear them.

i had a rather interesting experience when i was younger in which i ended up being trapped in a hallway unable to get through a door because i would not open ( it had not lock on it) and something i could not see growling at me as it advanced. my family had the house blessed and we ended up moving.

I saw a shadow person not too recently, that's not the first time ive seen one though. At my old school I saw one going right through a door, also my house is haunted because that's where I saw my most recent shadow person and I also saw a girl in my closet that then left, my roomate also heard voices of 2 people talking to eachother in his room.

Had several experiences like being touched/breath in the ear etc but only ever seen one ghost. It was at night whilst out running along a particularly dark road. Initially i thought it was a passer by walking a dog but soon realised it wasn't. Tried to come up with an explanation but it was not my shadow or anything like that. It was just a dark/shape of a person but it moved and also changed direction. Never ran down there again on my own :)

I was attending an editing convention and ran back to my room for my camera when I felt someone staring at me from outside my window on the seventh floor. Slowly I turned and saw for a brief moment the face of a woman. I did a double take and then there was nothing there.

In my own home I get alot of visitors and I have a general rule that they're not to disturb me during intercourse. They can even show up when im showering. That doesn't bother me. One nite, husband and I were both in the bedroom chatting with the door shut and out of the blue we both heard knocking on our bedroom door. Nobody home except us.

At home I hear footsteps, and usually feel the presence of ghosts and other spirits nearby or making physical contact with me. Once in a great while boards are knocked over and paintings fall off of the wall but not too often.

Here are my stories. My first home, my mother's family had been renting it for 28 years since they came from Mexico. It was a large house with a garage on the corner. Separated behind by a fence was a duplex, where I lived with my mom. My sisters and I would sleep in the large house those early mornings when my mo had to work, or even spend the night. In the middle of the night when everyone is asleep, we would hear footsteps in the kitchen. We slept in the living room which had a view into the kitchen doorway and we wouldn't see anyone inside. My aunt also had an experience where the bathroom door locked and unlocked itself when she was home alone. In that house's garage, over the span of 17 years, my uncle, father, and aunt's husband have seen manifestations of a woman, elderly couple, and a little boy. In the duplex, in broad daylight, I would see figures in my bedroom. I would mistake them for my little sisters, because from my bunk bed, I only see the top of the heads moving below. But my sisters would be in the living room watching tv. Those houses do not stand anymore. They were demolished for a city project. The next house I moved to with my grandma was across the street from my high school. In daylight and night, something would nudge my feet or legs. Quite a few times when I would be doing homework or reading, something would pat my head, as if getting pet like a dog. Everyone says that room feels colder than the rest of the house. My grandma and aunt still live in that one, while my mom found a house a year after where I currently live in now. This house, I've had a number of experiences during the first year, but mostly during the summertime. At night, my sister and her boyfriend had left to a party, and my neighbor, friend and I had been sitting on the porch when they took off in the car. I heard and felt stomps behind me as I had turned and faced the house and my friends. I thought it would have been my sister's boyfriend forgetting something, but I turned back and no one was there. I look at my neighbor and friend; my neighbor looks startled and decides he's gonna go home, and my friend was in shock. He asked if I heard it too, and I confirmed. Later that night, he heard footsteps behind him when he was coming to the living room from a bathroom break. He thought it was the dog, but when he saw the dog in the living room, he was so scared, he ran. The next morning, We were sitting on my bed, watching a movie. I go use the bathroom, and I return with him under the covers because he said he felt and saw something put a pressure on the empty side of the bed where I had been previously. Every now and then, I would hear noises coming from the crawlspace in the roof. It is sealed off, so nothing and no one can get in. It's pretty small, but it sounds like heavy steps. Too big to be a small animal that could fit in. The first location, I am not sure of the age. The second was built in 1925 and the house I am in now was built in 1896. I am not sure of any historical events. I would have to look into my city's history.

I would look into the history. My house was built over the area where the revolutionary war was fought. We have unearthed bones from the dead.

I have had some experiences with ghosts. In March, my boyfriend and I stayed at Menger Hotel in San Antonio,
Texas. I heard whispers and disembodied voices in the room we stayed in. We both experienced it.

They're all around us. I had a ghost follow me home from the Cemetary when I voisited my parent's graves.
