i whant to try something diffrent. i want to do a astral trival but dont know where to start and no one i tolked to can help me. so i was warnding if any one has a good astral spell that can help me out.
jest so i can get started out. i would relly like it if some one can help me please. after my last experns with the trance i was doing, so i thought i would ask for some help this time.

astral projection is just that its projection, not a spell, just remember astral projection does equal alot of dangers, infortantly i dont have the time to go through the steps at the moment im fixing up the security on my comp and im about to go to bed but i will try to do so later

Get some Saliva extract or something like that. Entheogenic plants get you out in a snap and keep you there for a while. It's like having a buddy help you out, then you can get there on your own steam later once you know the way.

i know some medatation. but like i said i am new to this. and the last time i tryed medatation i got attick by something and now i cant seem to get it right.

First and utmost before you begin to meditate and before you astral travel protect your self.
You can do this simply by saying a prayer of protection and surrounding yourself in a egg of white light.
You may take a phrase and repeat it to your self and concentrate on this phrase feel it, believe it ( you can say to your self " The lord is my Shepard ) this is just a suggestion but it should be something that you will feel comfortable with that is not to lengthy and notice your breath, relax
When you feel that you are falling in your body you will begin to experience astral travel
This is just a short condensed verision but I hope it helps

I have been astral traveling since I was five years old. I would be sleeping and my parents would see me in another room, or now I will be at the computer and my husband will see me in another room. I was very erractic until I learned a quick meditation I read in one of Eliphas Levi's books. Sit quietly and picture a red sun, you can do this during the day or before you go to bed. It takes practice and concentration. Every one at some pont astral travels at night when they sleep, they just do not know it. There are a lot pain in the neck problems that can occur not getting back in your body and having the feeling of being paralysed or ending up in one of the underworlds where it is not so nice. I have been doing it so long I have even been taught in the astral light. There are exercises you can do also to help you. I have been lucky, my husband had a hard time at first but now he is able to do it. With everything there is no quick fix if you want to do it right. Of course people when they drink or do drugs they do this automatically but unfortunately sometimes something can attach themselves if one does not protect themselves. It is just a personal thing and I agree that it is up to you on how you want to proceed. There are many different ways to get there it is just how does one want to try. I have a friend who stares at the TV and out he goes and another one who only travels occassionally and at night. Just be consistant and patient. Hope this helps a bit.

WELL I TRYED TO DO IT BUT ALL I SAW WAS A BRIGHT LIGHT AND THEN IT WENT BLACK. WHAT DOSE IT MEAN? I DONT KNOW BUT I GOT COLD AND THEN WORM AGAIN AND IT WAS GOING FROM BRIGHT TO BLACK. IT IS WERD BUT I AM GOIN TO TRY IT AGAIN AND SEE IF I GET THE SAME THING. TELL U GUYS ALL ABOUT IT.

you might first try to get the protection down before moving on, remember this is a journey not a race.
As you get more comfortable with one aspect then move onto the next.
And as you begin to raise energy you will feel warm in parts of your body say feet then hands acknowledge it but don't get caught up in the feeling try to focus on where you want to go First protection, next meditative state then astral travel

i have done protection and i got it right the second time i done it but it jest seams to not work i meen i did it to my kids and it is working for them but it is not working for me. i go by the spell that i have and it is jest not working cause i am doing it defore i go to sleep cause i am waking up with bruses again on my left arm but it is not working i am stell geting them when i wake up it is only two but i know what it will look like after a few more dreams. i am also haveing a feeling of someone tuching me on my right sholder in the back while iam a wake and this is contenuse all day and it has happend before but i am not seeing the guy with red eyes like i did last time it could be someone diffternt i dont know. all i know is that theis things are happening again and protection is not working. what do i do?

Well. I kinda naturally anchor myself to a certain within my core through meditation, that way i don't wander off. As for protection I have a spirit guide that protects me but it seems tat you don't so a good idea is to praactice focusing on one thing as you meditate. What i mean is I focus on the sound of and only the sound of water running or the rain against my window. Something constant and rarely changes. Focus on this and it will give your mind an enhanced sense for faster meditation. Once you get comfortable with that you can delve deep within yourself into your core biend and draw strength and protection from it. (I am not saying that this works all the time but in my experience it has)

In the book penned by Raymond Buckland "The Bid Blue Book " he explains the most people meditate the wrong way.

He explains that when people meditate they don't center themselves they just begin doing it
He then goes on to explain the steps for proper meditation

Step 1 ) get in a seated position hands relaxed on your lap

Step 2 ) take 3 deep breaths in though the nose and exhale through the mouth

Step 3 ) place a finger on one side of the nose ( say first left side in hale through the right side, move your finger to the other side right side and exhale ) inhale through the right side transfer the finger to the left side exhale
Do this process three times on each side

Step 4 ) take a deep breath through the nose and forcefully exhale through the mouth getting rid of the air that is held in the bottom of the diaphragm and do this three times

This may seem like a lot but helps in the centering and at the same time aids in the raising of energy and after a while comes naturally almost automatic

Everyone projects naturally. One of the chief barriers people learning to project face is fear. Many are afraid that they may die, or be harmed in some way as a result of their projection. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Learn both physical and mental relaxation. "The ability to relax is the first prerequisite, perhaps even the first step itself" to having an OBE. Progressive Muscle relaxation, coupled with deep breathing exercises (deep but, relaxed not forced breathing the four fold breath can work well here) are known to work well.

Enter the state bordering sleep. This is known as the hypnagogic state. One way is to hold your forearm up, while keeping your upper arm on the bed, or ground. As you start to fall asleep, your arm will fall, and you will awaken again. With practice, you can learn to control the Hypnagogic state without using your arm. Another method is to concentrate on an object. When other images start to enter your thoughts, you have entered the Hypnagogic state. Passively watch these images. This will also help you maintain this state of near-sleep.

Deepen this state. Begin to clear your mind. observe your field of vision through your closed eyes. Do nothing more for a while. Simply look through your closed eyelids at the blackness in front of you. After a while, you may notice light patterns. These are simply neural discharges. They have no specific effect. Ignore them. When they cease, one has entered what Robert Monroe calls Condition B. From here, one must enter an even deeper state of relaxation which Robert Monroe calls Condition C-- a state of such relaxation that you lose all awareness of the body and sensory stimulation. You are almost in a void in which your only source of stimulation will be your own thoughts. The ideal state for leaving your body is Condition D. This is Condition C when it is voluntarily induced from a rested and refreshed condition and is not the effect of normal fatigue. To achieve Condition D, Monroe suggests that you practice entering it in the morning or after a short nap.

Enter a state of Vibration. This is the most important part of the technique, and also the most vague. Many projectors have noted these vibrations at the onset of projection. They can be experienced as a mild tingling, or as is electricity is being shot through the body. /their cause is a mystery. It may actually be the astral body trying to leave the physical one.
For entering into the vibrational state, he offers the following directions:

1. Remove all jewelry or other items that might be touching your skin.
2. Darken the room so that no light can be seen through your eyelids, but do not shut out all light.
3. Lie down with your body along a north-south axis, with your head pointed toward magnetic north.
4. Loosen all clothing, but keep covered so that you are slightly warmer than might normally be comfortable.
5. Be sure you are in a location where, and at a time when, there will be absolutely no noise to disturb you.
6. Enter a state of relaxation
7. Give yourself the mental suggestion that you will remember all that occurs during the upcoming session that will be beneficial to your well-being. Repeat this five times.
8. Proceed to breath through your half-open mouth.
9. As you breath, concentrate on the void in front of you.
10. Select a point a foot away from your forehead, then change your point of mental reference to six feet.
11. Turn the point 90 degrees upward by drawing an imaginary line parallel to your body axis up and above your head. Focus there and reach out for the vibrations at that point and bring them back into your body. Even if you don't know what these vibrations are, you will know when you have achieved contact with them.

Learn to control the vibrational state. Practice controlling them by mentally pushing them into your head, down to your toes, making them surge throughout your entire body, and producing vibrational waves from head to foot. To produce this wave effect, concentrate of the vibrations and mentally push a wave out of your head and guide it down your body. Practice this until you can induce these waves on command. Once you have control of the vibrational state, you are ready to leave the body.

Begin with a partial separation. The key here is thought control. Keep your mind firmly focused on the idea of leaving the body. Do not let it wander. Stray thought might cause you to lose control of the state. Now, having entered the vibrational state, begin exploring the OBE by releasing a hand or a foot of the "second body". Monroe suggests that you extend a limb until it comes in contact with a familiar object, such as a wall near your bed. Then push it through the object. Return the limb by placing it back into coincidence with the physical one, decrease the vibrational rate, and then terminate the experiment. Lie quietly until you have fully returned to normal. This exercise will prepare you for full separation.

Dissociate yourself from the body. Monroe suggests two methods for this. One method is to lift out of the body. To do this, think about getting lighter and lighter after entering this vibrational state. Think about how nice it would be to float upward. Keep this thought in mind at all costs and let no extraneous thoughts interrupt it. An OBE will occur naturally at this point.

Another method is the "Rotation method" or "roll-out" technique. When you have achieved the vibrational state, try to roll over as if you were turning over in bed. /do not attempt to roll over physically. Try to twist your body from the top and virtually roll over into your second body right out of your physical self. At this point, you will be out of the body but next to it. Think of floating upward, and you should find yourself floating above the body. Monroe suggests you begin with the lift-out method, but argues that both are equally efficacious.

I would also recommend that you read Dion Fortune's Psychic Self Defense.

Relying on drugs IMHO is not good, you should be able to project without them as it is a natural thing to do.

I have never read a book on this except one by Eliphas Levi which changed my life. Think of a red sun. You sir are an encyclopedia and I knew you would have a book. I am sorely out of the realm so to speak. I have been doing this for so long without any training except my parents it is impossible for me to try to explain it. Thank the Universe you are here.

Isis do you meditate? There are a few things you can do to start simply. Use a candle and stare at the flame till you feel you are the candle and see yourself out of your body. You can do this an hour before bed. Practice seeing one limb of your body pushing itself out a bit at a time. When you go to bed at night tell yourself I will travel tonight programme it in your mind. There are CD's but you do not want to become dependant on them,

thank you i will give it a try i have stared into a flame to meditate i would do it until i felt like i was asleep and then i started to feel cold... but i will try it i am doing it right now...

I think the problem here is that you're forgetting one of the base rules of any magickal technique. Follow your intuition, one of the VERY first things I try to develop in my students is their magickal intuition, I give them basic guidelines and let them find their own way through the mechanics. It is a reliable method.

So. Guidelines (to my personal method)
Lay down or sit comfortably, (in a bed, or a plushy recliner) do a protection ritual if you wish and lower your consciousness through either meditation, counting backwards, humming, drumming, listening to music. Anything to get you into a lucid state of mind, not trance state but a lucid state. You'll feel airy, dreamy. Possibly even 'unusually happy' from here, close your eyes and visualize yourself somewhere, a temple, a pitch-black room, your own room, I prefer a pitch black hallway, now from here you can do one of two things. Visualize this replica of yourself sliding/pulling/twisting/falling/slithering out of your physical body- connected by a silver thread (don't focus on the thread, I've been projecting for quite a few years and have never even SEEN the thread, but I know it's there) ALTERNATIVELY you can 'illuminate' (if you chose the black-out method, if not just see it there) a mirror, or door or some type of 'threshold' device. Even a window or a pool of water will work. And step through it, finding yourself immediately transported out of your body. Just keep the visualization going, soon you'll switch consciousness to your astral body, all that you need to focus on is the two bodies once your out. No need for any other real details (though if you're in an armchair, include the chair) it doesn't need to be clear you just need to see two of yourself. Once you switch consciousness to your astral body, move it a little. Do some stretching (the first way I learned to project was a "duel movement" method, I moved my astral and my physical body together to help get control.)

now practice up to here once a night/day for the next few days until it becomes easier, once you're ready now comes the traveling part [:

To the Astral Realm: put your (Astral bodies) hands out in front of you, palms facing outward but towards each other and create a "gateway" a gate can manifest in many forms, I've seen them as everything from 'tears in reality' to greco-roman stone archways, to wormholes to a veil of heat waves. Focus on a place where you want this gate to go, on the astral what you see is going to be majorly anchored in imagination, (the details at least) and step through

To the Etheric Realm: Technically you're already there :B a copy of the 'real' world. With minor differences (the ether is more malleable to mental visualization) go fly around

To anywhere else: same basic method as To the Astral Realm. But change the destination.

thank you all for the help i have been pratceing and now i have some good news i have alrady told lady d and odin but here it is:

as i did the medatation with the candle and my dream that night was so detaled that i saw a temple and when i went in it had a flame shouting out of the middle and a voice came throu the flame and told me that i was getting close and to keep what friends i have now for i will have many as i get close to what i am about to achave. i think that the voice was talking about the friends i made on here... i dont know but i have been seeing the temple ever sence in my dreams i can still feel the wormth of the flame all around me now the cold dose not brother me as i walk out side now... i am doing some resurch on the temple.


here is what i found out about the temple that was in my dream:

A cowherd found that one of his cows was always without milk. He followed the cow to find out the cause. He saw a girl coming out of the forest who drank the cow's milk, and then disappeared in a flash of light. The cowherd went to the king and told him the story. The king was aware of the legend that Sati's tongue had fallen in this area. The king tried, without success, to find that sacred spot. Again, some years later, the cowherd went to the king to report that he had seen a flame burning in the moutains. The king found the spot and had darshan (vision) of the holy flame. He built a temple there and arranged for priests to engage in regular worship. It is believed that the Pandavas came later and renovated the temple. The folk song that "Panjan Panjan Pandavan Tera Bhawan Banaya" bears testimony to this belief. Raja Bhumi Chand, the progenitor of the ruling Katoch family of Kangra, first built the temple.

The modern building of temple is with a gilt dome and pinnacles and possesses a beautiful folding door of silver plates, presented by Sikh Raja Kharak Singh. This silver door so struck Lord Hardinge that he had a model made of it. Maharaja Ranjit Singh presented the gilt roof in 1815 AD. The interior of the temple consists of a square pit about 3 feet deep with a pathway all around. In the middle, the rock is hollowed out over a primary fissure of a flame considered to be the fiery mouth of Mahakali. The flames escape at several other points from the crevics of the wall of the pit. There are nine flames in total representing following different forms of Goddess:-

1 .Maa Saraswati
2. Maa Annapurna
3. Maa Chandi
4. Hing Laj
5 .Vindhya Vasini
6 .Mahalakshmi
7 .Mahakali
8 .Ambika
9 .Anjana

Jawalamukhi has since times immemorial turned out to be a great pilgrimage centre. The Mughal Emperor Akbar once tried to extinguish the flames by covering them with an iron disk and even channelizing water to them. But the flames blasted all these efforts. Akbar then presented a golden parasol at the shrine. However, his cynicism at the power of devi caused the gold to debase into another metal. His belief in the deity was all the more strengthened after this incident. Thousands of pilgrims visit the shrine round the year to satisfy their spiritual urge.

CHARACTERISTICS OF JAWALAJI :-
Jawala Ji has an unique characteristic of perpetual lights emanating from the rock at temple site being considered the manifestation of goddess.
i. Jawala Ji as a center of faith is unparalleled and unique. There is no deity or idol that is worshiped, nor there is a magnificent temple building to be admired. It has the series of jets of inflammable natural lighting since times immemorial believed to be the symbol of Goddess.
ii. Aartis are essential rituals in all the temples in the country. However, the Shayan Aarti performed at Jawala Ji before bed time is unique. The bed of Goddess is decked up with rich dresses and ornaments during aarti.
iii Jawala Ji is easily accessible being located on a National Highway and is also accessible throughout the year as weather is pleasant
iv. It is fast emerging as a tourist centre as it is located only about an hour distance from the famous tourist resort of Dharamshala in Kangra Valley on Dharamshala-Shimla Road. Because of various historical factors associated with the temple, it has become a source of attraction to students and scholars. Besides, general tourists visiting Dharamshala do also not miss to see this place. As such it has acquired a vast dimension, as both pilgrims and general tourists visit the shrine.
