    Default Chaote Meditation?

What do chaotes do to meditate? Currently i sit and do a quasi- taoist thing, staring at a candle? What do others do, if they even meditate?

We would have to meditate, sharpening the tool that is to be dealt.
A little Qi Gong, a little transedation, winding the energies in and through and out again.
Stiring the pot if you will.
As for the candle, I used to do that frequently. I placed a large mirror behind the candle, and looked through the flame at the happenings behind and around me.

I second the Qi Gong. I didn't think it would make a difference but it most certainly is effective even in small steps.

meditation is but meditation. The candle with mirror is actually pretty good. now take that imprint and see it in the minds eye. the first point of meditaion is to singular it , then still, then still, then still, then oblivion. so who are you, where are you, when are you, what are you, how are you...are you?
Man is invited to question, discover, explore,
and manipulate the world around him and use it for his benefit.

I cannot fully advocate or even recommend this practice to anyone else, but I myself love to incorporate the ritual use of marijuana and music into my workings, which is more often than not a strong and trance-like focused meditation. Also, psychedelics and hallucinogens can provide for an interesting experience during spellwork as well.

But I must say that this is otherwise not a habitual use, and does not replace the simplistic and highly effective practice of normal meditation. I just like to make things interesting every now and then.

Habitual use was once a practice of mine. Collecting the resin is a very dirrect path, and darker one at that. As for the music. I also have narcolepsy and the use of music on a very high volume during a deep meditative state would let my self slip away. The music would only act as a link to keep me awake, frequency wise. Selecting the music would rely on personal interaction.

For those who live in states where medical marijuana is available.... Otherwise pursue at your own risk. I have found the substance a valuable aid in meditation and reaching gnosis......
