Did you get it working? I thought i left you a message explaining what i meant by library file along with a joke about how easy my girlfriend is. I did it on my own board tho.
I said library file cause one time i had a problem i think was like yours and i need the libc6 library file. It's a C library file. Perhaps you need that, or one for perl or something.

hm hm hm ... well I already have automake - and I have the version that it asked for: 1.7 ... -.- this is starting to annoy me ... library file? hm well thats a start - It's hard when you don't know what you're looking for (like me :S) ... I thought of reinstalling automake but don't know what could happen if I do that...hm

I think your missing some sort of library file. Did you try to install automake? might have something to do with the perl package you installed.
But i'm not sure, i'm kinda rusty. I've been using ubuntu for awhile. Everything is easy, if i could have started with it i would have. I know it's just for noobs, i've been meaning to switch back to real distro, but it's nice. I like having everything work nice and easy. To put it in perspective. It's easier than my girlfriend.

errrrrm...I have a Linux problem :S

so...I wanted to install KDM theme manager and I had to compile it (I think I'm having headaches as soon as I hear this word: compile) and I followed the install instructions:

1. `cd' to go to the directory containing the package's source code and type
`./configure' --- everything was fine
2. Type `make' to compile the package - it started working and showed few errors and wrote You might want to install the `Automake' and `Perl' packages.

------- I was lucky and solved that Perl part but now I get this error:

...I don't know what to do - I googled it but can't find a solution Can you help me?
