Red face Earth, Air, Water, Fire

I am currently working on a project with the four elements. I am building a magical instrument that can better assist me on magical explorations.
My instrument consist of the four elements; Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. I have studied their energies and have some knowledge about their powers.
Thanks to a friend of mine, I was able to learn that I have a special connection with them.
The instrument is divided in four sections and each section has 12 energy stones which I would like to dedicate to the Zodiac.
The 12 Zodiac signs correspond to the astrological signs and its symbols are composed by the primary symbols of the four elements...
So in each of the 12 stones I would like to inscribe its own astrological symbol.
The problem is that there are too many elemental symbols.

Does anyone know which symbols if inscribed or drawn in to stones holds more meaning for magical purposes?

    Default elemental symbols

It would depend on the action taken by the particular element. Each symbol interacts with the purpose to which it is put. If it were me, I would use the triplicity symbol of each element rather than the 'mundane' symbol (by mundane, I speak of the triangular ones found in all new age books on modern magic). The triplicity elemental symbols are actually sigils, which are said to embody the essence of the element itself. I would also include the names of the formative and creative worlds of each element. Why use only stones? That defines each element represented by using an actual earth element. This does not actually reflect each element, but the 'earth' defintion of each element. Each element should be reflected in and of itself - not translated by the earth (stone) - but by it's own true nature.
Good luck with you project. For further help, you should dig deeper into cabalism.

I am researching terramancy and the stones are for the aid of earth's powers. The 12 stones correspond to the Zodiac energies I want to attrack and each stone also corresponds to a different element. I hope that drawing the sigils of the elements in the stones can cause a connection with the cosmos. My magical instrument has other qualities that represent the other three elements in their own ways, but each for different use. At the moment I am focusing on the stones.
By the way, I burried the stones in a pot which had a plant that had been an offering to the goddesses. When I would water the plant, I would use the water to charge the stones. Later I took the stones out and charged them with the Full Moon's light.
Each stone represents a different part of me in different time and space since the stones had come to my aid when I most needed magic.
I am new to making magical instruments. And I am trying to understand which symbols are more magnetic for this purpose. = )

I commend you on your unique way of charging the stones. What is the plant, if I may ask? Let me know if you would like me to send you the elemental triplicity sigils. They are the most powerful of the elemental signs. There are also words of power for their formative and creative worlds as well. I have used cabalism to design some seals for each of the elements and have used these to great success. Good luck with yours.

The plant is a succulent echeveria which blooms pink flowers in the summer. It was kind of weird how it happen. I was trying to make my first spell so I dedicated my succulent garden to the godesses. Next day after the spell, my favorite plant was damaged so I knew the spell had been charged. I felt that my fav. plant had been made a sacrafice for the goddess. Succulents are easy to grow with the proper care, roots can grow back. I replanted the plant with the energy stones while I was bringing the plant back to life. = )
I am learning the power of terramancy through my garden.

I am also interested in the elemental triplicity sigils.
I study and meditate on the Kabbalah alphabet and have heard of the power pronouncing the letters has, not sure if this is the same for the cabalism you use.
If it is, where can I find more info on the power the words?

    By the way...
One of the symbols that I am inscribing to my instrument is the Letter Shin.
It seems that most of the time when I do a divination spread, the energy of Shin seems to manifest. The last meditaion spread I did I had about six out of the 10 Sephiroth of the Tree of Life manifest in my spread with three letters and one of them was Shin.
I am still learing on interpreting the message so I think learning how to pronounce the letters would be better help on my journey.
