Being an empath is no fun, you can sense everything, even the ones that have gone to the ther side. It can feel like a curse and most people that have this curse/ gift, struggle with it well into their adulthood.
From an everyday practical point, it is hard to focus on things, stay grounded, and get on with your everyday business, as everything gets emeshed with others around you. It can be debilitating to say the least. It takes a lot of hard work to get to a point where you can take distance enough and create firm boundaries, to be able to function on a daily basis (pretend to be like everyone else).
It does come also with it's benefits, but one has to keep in mind everything that comes with it, not just the positives...like with anything there are two sides.
