    Default Paladism and Luciferianism

I don't know much about Luciferianism, but I've often heard of a doctrine called Paladism, which I've heard says that is the belief that Lucifer is the Holy Ghost portion of the Trinity. Meaning, in a way, that there are Christians that believe in a Father/Son/Spirit deity, but that the adversary is also a comforter, tempter, and "light bringer." So, its like a yin/yang type of arrangement with both the evil and good being compounded into one Godhead. Anyone know of any literature that discusses this type of thing or which type of Luciferian believes this?

I've also found it curious that the goddess Diana, who is also called "Diana Lucifera" is sometimes thought of as a female countertype to God. Does this somehow tie into it?

as far as a particular group of Luciferians that hold to that cosmology, I cannot say I am familiar with such.

HOWEVER, this representation of "Good" and "Evil" being balanced, and counter-balanced by each other is actually something discussed very extensively by Lao Tzu and through Taoism, specifically.

I recommend looking into Taoism on this, firstly with Lao Tzu's "Tao Teh Ching"

get your feet wet in that, and you might come out feeling rather Enlightened.

I know that in Rpman mythology and as well as in pracitioners of Italian witchcraft, Lucifer was Diana's brother and lover. He was represented by the Sun and she was the Moon. I think they would work together beautifully. She being the mother of witchcraft and Lucifer being the father. Beautiful.
"Let him look upon the cup whose blood is mingled therein, for the wine of the cup is the blood of the saints. Glory unto the Scarlet Woman, Babalon the Mother of Abominations, that rideth upon the Beast, for she hath spilt their blood in every corner of the earth and lo! she hath mingled it in the cup of her whoredom."

There are those who certainly do believe that Lucifer/Satan is the official 'Tempter' of mankind, one who is still on God's side but has the responsibility to provide the test of loyalty.

Also of similiar mythological interest to those who might not have heard this, there also exists the idea that Lucifer was such a devout servant of God that when humans were made and God asked the angels to worship his creation, Lucifer would not bow to anything lesser than God, and was outcasted for his rigid dedication. This is an interesting counterpoint to the more popular version of Christian mythology.

I always thought that Luciferians were into the whole man is god idea. But then isn't that then according to this myth, the opposite of what Lucifer actually wants?

Then again, I always thought that Lucifer was this sort of Prometheus figure who gave man knowledge and was cast out of heaven for it. I don't think he likes the whole being portrayed as a demon thing.

    Default Taxil Hoax

    Hi BJW,

It's possible that there is a doctrine called Paladism. It's generally accepted that it was invented by Leo Taxil though (Google Taxil Hoax). It is mentioned in Waite's typically drawn out and boring Devil Worship in France.

This is the only place I have come across the term. Maybe Taxil was inspired by a real Paladist society who knows ^^

There are different takes on Luciferianism. The most traditional variant is a doctrine which encourages a quest for self knowledge and wisdom. As a Luciferian, this is the definition that I would feel most comfortable with.

    Best regards,
    Bertil
