    Default Earth Light

Earth Light by R. J. Stewart explores the faery Underworld and the ability to contact and visit this world via Meditations and Visualizations. It is one of the most informative books on Celtic and Faery Lore. The underworld is one that I as an Occultist choose to involve myself with for answers that can not be found in my other workings. I first got into wanting to learn more when I saw my first Fae as a child. Since then I have had the Fae living with me wherever I have resided. At my house I am living in now I have a family of Fae who live in my rock garden. There is much to learn in the Underworld and I feel I have only scratched the Surface. if you are interested in the Fae and how to travel to their Realm Earth light is a good book to start with.

I agree! This is the real deal here. R.J. Stewart was a student of William Gray both authors I do admire for the works that they have given. This is the true Western Tradition!

EARTH LIGHT is the first of three books I recommend reading together, the second being Power Within The Land, and the third one being The UnderWorld Initiation (The underworld was the first written on this subject the series but, I feel it will fill in the gaps of the other two).

Thank You. I have both books on my order list for next month. I felt there had to be a continuation to Earth Light. I can not wait to read the next two.

You will enjoy them, I sure do! Power Within the Land will continue from Earth Light and leads the reader (through practical exercises) to the deeper realms of the Underworld, including the Hidden Orders and Temples. And in The Underworld Initiation he provides detailed explanations of the Underworld (and Otherworld) and the design of the realities you'll encounter there. He relates this to the Tree of Life (Kabbalah also a non Kabbalistic Tree of Life is presented), and several other spiritual contexts, so that you can "connect the dots" with your own and others' religious backgrounds.

I actually was able to get through the door and up the stairs but never made it to the room. I am going to reread the book again and worked on my visualization until I make it into the room. Once there I hope to be able to stay for a few minutes. It is a lot of hard work but worth the effort. This is wonderful and will fit in perfectly with all my other studies. It is amazing how this all intertwines with the Path I am on.

You will notice the more that you practice The Rising Light Below ritual the more in tune you will become with the land. So this will make it easier. You can even fit this in to the MP as they work the same centers just different directions.

I will. I do the MP three times a week and now that I know I can incorporate it with the Rising Light hopefully it will help me progress faster. Thank You.

I like fairy myths but I don't know much else about them. What makes them worth seeking out?

Well why do people work with the Goetia and Enochian? Knowledge! There is a great deal of knowledge to be learned here as well as power to be gained. Learning magic, herbcraft, psychic abilities, healing and, such.

The Fae and Sidhe (pronounced 'shee') literally means 'people of the (fairy) hills'. Actually working with the Fae is much different than reading 18th and 19th stories about them they are not quite what they are portrayed to be in most of these sources.

The Faery tradition does use rituals and ceremonies, and they are well known in folklore. But they are not similar to the revival pagan/Wiccan idea of ceremonies found in many modern Wicca type books. They are not scripted, and a scripted ritual cannot be, by definition, a Faery ritual. The Faery Tradition is found in certain practices, and not in formal scripts. It is an oral tradition of songs, music, dreams, the Second Sight, tales and customs.

Actually they can be found all around the world and each have very distinct things that they can teach you.

You will find a whole different world when working with the Fae. Do not dismiss them as light weights as their powers is such that even ones who work with Hermetics can not surpass. They can teach us many things.
