    Default Dealing with hate

Rituals are often used to deal with emotions. I've read a lot about dealing with negative emotions through destruction spells/rituals. If you hate a lot of people for different reasons, do you have to perform a ritual for each person? Having a so much hate for so many different individuals can't be good, a few is okay, but eventually some of it has to be released. Especially when you've already dealt with them, and their is nothing left but the residual hate that you used to take revenge. Revenge feels good, but it doesn't completely take away the hate.

Lord that is a darn good question as right now I have quite a bit of hate for a few individuals that have threatened my life so it is taking all I have within me not to send the wrath of anger down on them, although it is tempting. What I am doing now is trying my best to do a preventive to put a sort of shield around me and my family, then we will see what I will decide from there.

Maybe many of us would be locked away by now if it were not for the release of ritual then? ha ha. The "Adept" from the 80`s LHP group Dark Lilly taught that to hate is to be controled, that the hated mattered, and that one should allow for feeling but never to take what he called "stances" or to even respond to another. I always used to imagine that this would put a black worm in your belly and chew a person up.
Often an emotion can be based upon its opposite and may be negated even by focusing more upon this instead. Either way when i have performed a successful working whether curse or blessing it is when i no longer feel anything towards the target. In the case of a curse if any residual emotions do remain it can anchor the energy to the sender, either bringing it screaming right back or unwittingly create an open connection with the target. Yikes!
To hate many people should involve the hater doing some serious self examining first i believe, before blowing off. To combine the ritual with physical revenge may "completely take away the hate" ? Not that i advocate such a thing, here.

Strider, you mentioned hexes and curses being more effective when you didn't hate the person. It is not my intention to do such a thing. I use hate to deal with people in the physical realm, and to protect myself from them being able to harm me emotionally when it applies. Why would you not advocate such things here? Are there reasons that do not allow to discuss these things openly here? If so, please warn me, i'm just worried you mean in a legal sense. I'm hoping freedom of religion applies here. On another note..

I'll explain in more detail. At times I suddenly feel hate towards an individual, and i try to remove this feeling by remembering what i had done to them to 'get even'. Sometimes it works and i laugh, but at other times i wish i had done more. Even though that could have got me into a lot trouble, and would not be wise. Sometimes i wonder if the most extreme forms of revenge would satisfy these feelings, but that is very dangerous thinking. The point is, i shouldn't have to feel these sudden rushes or anger from the past over things that are done and gone. Especially when if have already acted on some of them. Still feeling them makes me think I had not dealt with them harshly enough. Perhaps i should resume weight training, it was effective at dealing with such emotions. Concentrating on people i hated, i lifted a lot more weight, and felt great after. And wouldn't usually have such random feelings afterwards. Perhaps a form of ritual in its own?

I think because i have taken much more time to reflect and work on meditations, i have become more suscebtible to these feelings. I used to think i needed my hate, and it gave me power. But given my circumstances now, it seems to not be the case. I believe you use a death ritual in this case? Not sure, I've heard of death rituals in the death and rebirth of the self sense. I can vaguely remember doing such a ritual a few years back. Not in very formal sense though, it seemed to just kinda happen. Being in control of emotions is something everyone struggles with, and if rituals can help, i want to try.

I would also like to say how great it is too discuss such things. Through some moderate study and work i've expierenced things that are hard to explain to myself. Being able to share feels great. I would also like to admit i have limited expierence with highly formal rituals. Mostly due to embarrassment but i think i'm willing to cross that road. I have in the past but sometimes we stray from our purpose i guess. If anyone would like to share some methodology, specific rituals, or expierences, please do.

Oh... and.. .uhh...thanks for listening guys just messing with you.
PS: I think we need a more bad ass smiley with tongue out, don't you?

Sorry, i meant that i no longer hate etc after the ritual is done, not that this is not the "usefull emotion" that i have used to power the work. To hate and to hate openly is healthy for many and is one of the best ways to keep the mind sharp when other options are inaccessable.
I simply meant that i would not advocate physical violence here in case i got my ass kicked is all, as i am also new and never know what can be said. The extremes of revenge are the same as those milder kinds from one perspective, as i suppose it is a case of how readilly one can be rid of such emotions. Myself i have tried most and bust myself against a target many a time only to be still tormented. Then again i have dealt with far worse foes with a simple binding rite! Yes it is hard to comletely evict the hate for others but it does polute the spirit if it stays beyond its use as a catalyst yes? But your weight training, ritual, and any "smashing of faces" you have done should have cleared up anything verging on obsession though, and moved the crap from a vessel to a channel so to speak?
Death rituals (or "meditations") have helped me to see life as a whole a few times and enabled me to thus see the missing piecess that needed to be fulfilled, other than this i have not used them much so miss your point.
I agree it is always good to discuss stuff. and i look forward to your - and anyone elses- posts on the point you raised ,and also on the exploration and controling of emotion, and just how far this can or even should be taken.
Sorry for not being much help here.
    Take care

    HATE, what a great topic!!

I can totally sink my teeth into this one

You can learn alot from hate. In my opinion, you learn alot more from your enemies than you do from your allies.

FOr example, you learn that you never know what sort of enemy is going to come into your path, or what form its going to take. Your learn to be alert and ready, and to always have the stance of a warrior, cheesy as it sounds.
I take my enemies (whether they be people or circumstances) and integrate them into my being, because i believe for them to make me hate them in the first place, they have a power over me, and so i aim to collect that power for myself.

Of course, there are all different sorts of hate. Like in the case of someone like Sarah Palin; I think that bitch should simply be taken out. But hate of a more intimate nature is more complicated and more rooted in our own psyches.

I really have no moral quandaries about harming the people I hate - and If they died gorry, horrific and excrutiating deaths i would have a pizza party. But I'm not willing to risk any sort of harm on my part (from where the hell ever) to make it happen. Besides, its alot more empowering to emerge from those encounters stronger than you were before, and to get to the point where you can assert your own power over such types without any sort of demonstration.

One more thing I would like to talk about. It appears to me that typically, people who act out their hate, taking it out on other people, KILL a part of themselves in doing so, and than can no longer distinguish where there hate comes from or where they should direct it. The rage grows out of balance, hate becomes a great power over there lives, and they end up going after easier targets to satifify their habit, like an addiction. Ive seen it happen quite a bit, particularly with men, and its pretty sad.

thats why I have always smoked pot. it is better to be at peace then remember how messed up this world is, and although it is a good way to forget the world, sometimes it is just that and all too often I am dealt back painful reminders as to what this place actually is
I have seen a thousand thousand civilizations rise and fall upon the Mother of All Things. As pipes play, echoing off the mountains and across the Ocean, until it fades at the edge of time, the end of All... - book of the gate called pan
