What are your favourite movies or videos you could recommend refering to occultism? I search primarly stories that has serious clutch to abovementioned subject.

One of my favourites is Meetings With Remarkable Men which concerns life of Gurdjieff. If you want to watch this movie it's higly recommended knowing something about Gurdjieff because in other case the idea could remain quite vague.

In my opinion Kenneth Anger's Lucifer Rising is visually gorgeous too.

The other extreme could be brainless entertainment like for example Sabrina the Teenage Witch.. Actually I have never watched that, but it must hardly just be question about my prejudice?

I watched an old movie with my Dad the other night, Thirteen Ghosts. It was an old black and white movie, but it was cool.

In Search Of The Great Beast 666 is not too bad for a Crowley biography. Has some interesting actor portrayals that at least give a unique atmosphere. Great narration.

Lon Milo Duqette stars in another one called Aleister Crowley: The Beast 666. Gives a good intro and Lon also gives a cool look into how Thelema and magick in general has changed his life. I like his sense of humor and have enjoyed some of his books in the past, so it made up for the lack on info on Crowley himself.

The Occult History Of The Third Reich is a 3 disc documentary about the more mystical approach of Nazi Germany. Tons of cool info on this one and gave particular insight into a lot of details I was never aware of. I'm not too good with history but this is rather interesting. I was lucky enough to find it at a local used cd/dvd shop for like 3 dollars. Score!

I also do not know if this is out on dvd or not, but a while ago on Youtube I stumbled across a very cool introduction to Goetic Magick hosted by Poke Runyon. He seemed kinda cheesy to me at first but out of interest I kept watching these videos and ended up liking them very much so. You can find them split into parts starting here: YouTube - Goetia Solomon Magick I

Are we talking about 'Occult' Movies that entertain, Or movies that have either a Occult, or Spiritual information in them thats imparted through the film.

    Occult Movies for entertainment:
The Chemical Wedding-Crowley is reincarnated in the 21'c
The Ninth Gate-Jhonny Depp searches for a entrance to Hell
The Last Legion-Sets up the Arthurian Myth quite nicely, a real brain candy film, except for Ben Kingleslsy goddafwful welsh accented Merlin banging on about Pantangles? (pentagrams)
Pans Labyrith (sp)-Spells and folk magic aplenty
Stardust-Neil Gamian made celluloid, more magic than you can shake a stick at.
    and the Harry Potter films.

Now there's films which appear mainstream but have a undercurrent of Magic and Spirituality.
Ferris Buellers day off Ferris is Cyote/Loki the trickster. He is the Fool who brings down the Popmpous Authority figures around him. He takes his freinds on a semi shamanic journey out of their enviroment, the 'burbs into the city. The film ends with Positive changers being made all round.

Mary Poppins Ohhhh where to start. P L Travers who wote the book was dissapointed with Disneys waterd down version of Mary Poppins but in the film there is. The Magical Carpet Bag. Jane and Michael Banks cast the spell for MP by writing down all the attributes they want then it is destoyed presently along comes MP. Invention of Magic Words "Supercalafagalisticexpialidociuis". Otherwords inside chalk pictures. Is MP a witch? Yes she even flys though not on a broomstick.

Dead Man its Jim Jarmush film and most of his are pretty off the wall anyway, But if you can find this film its probably Johnny Depps finest film (and i'm counting PotC here ) Its very Shamnainc. Nothing Magical happens in the film but as a Spiritual Jounrey is one fo the best examples iv'e seen. (Mr Depp like Kenanu does a lot of Magical roles-makes you wonder if the charters they play affect their own reailty or does their Art imitaite their life)
