Clouds and Faces

Hello, I have a question and was just wondering if anyone could answer it.

For pretty much all of the past 6 years, ever since we moved into this house, whenever i open my eyes and look at the ceiling in the dark, I've seen a dark and shifting mass floating above me. I don't really know if it is an illusion or not but no matter where i move to it stays there, above me floating. I don't know if it started with the house or not because before we moved here i never meditated and was afraid of the dark.

At first it only looked like a patch on the ceiling a bit darker then the rest, but eventually it shifted. I start seeing parts of a face in it, constantly shifting. Sometimes a few feet above me and sometimes an inch in front of my nose. Whenever i stare at it or try to reach out to it, a type of cold sweat comes over me. I usually ignore it because when i meditate and reach out i never sense anything above me or energy there. Tonight i looked into it because the dog wouldn't stop fidgeting while i was meditating and instead of one face i saw many faces, not all at once but shifting. I never see a whole face but sometimes it's a lingering eye and sometimes it's half of a face. Tonight the faces were of differing ages and some of them appeared to be either angry or in pain, while others just kinda stared down at me.

I don't really know which details are important so i included all of them i could think of. If anyone knows what this is, illusion, visual manifestation of negative energy or otherwise, please let me know. I'm sorry about the length and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section i wasn't sure where to put it, and thanks for reading this far.
