Does this video really work? (I'm a beginner and don't want to risk this being something bad as I have less than sufficient protection, just enough to protect me from harm while doing rituals and day to day tasks)

Facepalm. Don't trust a ritual 'done over the internet'. Will never work for obvious reasons. It's in the work of actually casting the ritual that the magician observes an effect. If you wish to gain an effect, do it yourself, not by someone else's terms.
I sometimes record my rituals for any phenomena, like when I was invoking Gawain I could hear armour clanking in the backround that my Ears could not. But I wouldn't (Normally) upload them, although sometimes I think it can be useful to gain others idea's on them and how I acted (I havn't actually done that, but I might do one day)
