    Default The Daemonic Feminine

So we have talked endlessly about Satan and Lucifer. What does everyone think of the Daemonic Feminine (Or would you prefer to use the term ''Dark Goddess'')?

How do you view Her? How do you view Her in relation to Lucifer/Samael/Satan?

I've been reading a book called ''The Book of Lilith'' which goes in depth on early jewish myths about her and from various writings in the Zohar. It also goes to explain her in a Jungian psychological perspective.

One thing I found fascinating was when the author talked about how she is supposed to represent the menstrual cycle - specifically having a period - and how a woman has a need for madness (the wilderness in which Lilith flies too). Except instead, because women have been seen as lesser beings, they tend to feel subjugated and defeated... where as they could go into their necessary madness and become reborn and healed through it if they were to let go. It also explains that this flight to the wilderness is one of the reasons why Lilith is considered evil and why women are so downgraded in the bible. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

What does everyone think of the Daemonic Feminine?
    - Based on my understanding my perspective on "her" simply seems to promote a personification of the negative polarity taken in what would be considered "evil" or left-hand operation.

The Divine itself, on certain levels to me is polarized as positive and negative. This is reflected in creation (nearly everything in the universe is polarized + and -). If one holds concern for taking the left-hand path sort-to-speak then the divine feminine (the negative polarity of the creator) within that pantheon gets personified as what you are talking about. All the stuff about cycles, the wilderness, etc... this is the role of the divine feminine reflected in nature's program. To fit that into your subjective understanding one has to look at how one understands the objective role of the feminine in nature.

    [in regards to] Lucifer/Samael/Satan?
    - I can't really fit her with Lucifer because to me that is something aside from the subject; with Samael, similar.
With Satan, that's pretty much depends on what you define "Satan" as.

You'll probably get allot of replies about "she's their mistress" or something similar and easily misunderstood. That's all subjective however, personified as fantastic stories but when interpreted objectively we'll see an alchemical context emerging.

In my opinion, I view Her the same way in relation to what you said with Her and Samael/Lucifer/Satan. I believe her lover to be whomever she desires... perhaps Samael/Lucifer being the primary lover to whom she turns when she fails to see the light within her... but in general I view her as Whole. She needs not a lover to be happy in life.

I also view her to be the opposite of the Divine Mother. Where as The Divine Mother's function is to give birth to a savior... to give birth to meaningful creations (yesod in the kabbalah - personified by the Moon) who will follow some sort of divine, sublime destiny... Lilith to me is The Great Mother who creates not because it is her duty - but for the simple joy of creation itself. I also found a sort of connection with her because I myself, am not very accepted in this society for being a homosexual and a luciferian/dark pagan. So with the whole myth that she gives birth to demons... I found a bliss in her. She is mother to All and not just a select.

To take that a further step. I see that she also represents a sort of sexual impulse but more so for the sake of pleasure and magick... not necessarily for love and child-birth.

And to take that a further step... I view her as The Female Sexual Impulse...
Just taken to a Left-Hand-Path perspective. The Female Sexual Impulse is supposed to be watery, yet fiery at the same time. A lot of females are more sensual than visual people so when they are touched they get aroused. The Male sexual impulse being Samael... who seeks to devour Heaven... the male sexual impulse being akin to Hunger. Thus the uniting of opposites reaching Divine Consciousness via sex magick. The alchemy you spoke of.

If I can comment back briefly,

I also view her to be the opposite of the Divine Mother.
    - Within my own experience I have to say there is no opposite to the Divine mother, just only in a polar sense as I had spoken of. It is the feminine aspect of the Divine to both nurture and destroy. Two polarities of the same thing, see what I am saying?

"Meaningful creations" and simply "creating for creation's sake" seem to be polarized intentions reflecting the nature of the Divine feminine, yet again.
We see the left-handed selfish desire to create (for the sake of self I mean) in what is personified as Lilith, and then we see the right-handed selfless desire to create for sake of another but perhaps different names are being used to define the same thing, because it seems like we're on the same page...

"...I also found a sort of connection with her because I myself, am not very accepted in this society for being a homosexual and a luciferian/dark pagan..."
    - Just move to Kalifornia, lol. (USA joke, if you don't live here you probably won't get that).
Since you are as you say you are, look up the works of Samael Aun Weor and examine your reaction to it. I ask that you let me and anyone else following this thread then know how it went for you. I haven't had the chance to ask anyone else same as yourself about it yet.

"...And to take that a further step... I view her as The Female Sexual Impulse...Just taken to a Left-Hand-Path perspective...[etc]"
    I see, very understandable.

After looking at Samuel Aun Weor.

Some of his works seems to be theory than actual proof, though the theories are corroborated with much ''proof''. There is also the fact of how there is a lot of mysticism but this mysticism is in every religion.

My only issue is in how he tries to make a dogma out of sex. Yes sex magick is used in various means and can be used in order to go and bring about new and powerful beings, but he makes it seem like sex for any other purpose is evil. I do not agree with this. Many institutions try to do this with sex because sex is very personal to human beings. It is a means of gaining control over others. I like how he speaks about the cosmic christ coming and bringing a new doctrine for each particular culture so that it can develop. There are various things I agree with here except for in instances regarding how to live one's life and use the sexual energy.

My view on the annihilation of the ego is only necessary when first becoming aware of spirit. I don't view the ego as inherently evil. It is only a hindrance for those coming to know The Divine within and without. It is also a hindrance in conjunction if you are trying to completely and utterly unite with The All.

Default More to the Daemonic Feminine.

So I was reading a book called ''Apophis'' by Michael Kelly who is the founder of The Order of Apep. They basically work with draconian energies but they are left hand path. Anyway, this was something that I have come upon in my own studies but it has been further elaborated in this book.

In the Right Hand Path, love is seen as death. As in, one dedicates one's self to their beloved and by doing so - they end up dissolving into the beloved and loosing their personality. Thus the sacredness of marriage is found in the RHP principle of loosing one's self.

In the Left Hand Path, love is seen as unlimited possibility. The symbolism is the concept of one going and marrying a king or queen and gaining power. It is the concept that the person brings out the best in you and sates all of your desires for ''the other''. However, this person also grows through you as you grow through them. Traditionally, this person has been called ''The Scarlet Woman'' by most people in the Left Hand Path (because most were men). It was said to be an incarnation of the goddess of desire. One is reminded of Set being given 3 powerful wives by the gods in order to conquer him but instead they empowered him. However, the term ''Prince of Darkness'' can also be used if the object of one's desire is Male and thus this male would more focus on the qualities of Set.

Typically there is also an archetype that one is attracted to in terms of finding their ''Scarlet Woman''... for example the Author is in love with the Banshee and I myself go after the vampire archetype.
