    Default The three

    THE THREE Ms:

Magic ~ illusion, slight of hand, hypnosis, hoodwinking.
Magick ~ methods of self development towards perfecting being and species.
Majik ~ majesty and mastery in this life towards weiring the eon

Too few differentiate between these three. While the first two are elements of the third, they are each quite distinct from the others.

I do think we all know it, but sometimes it seems as though something in our peripheral vision and almost entirely out of sight. It is quite clear that there is a distinction between, say, casting a spell to attract, and what is sometimes called “The Great Work”. Then far less is known of Majik because relatively rare. To give a better sense of what it is and our shenanigans we include Dali, who knew very little success in his career before discovering Majik. He was also involved in magick, and did practice common spell casting and ritual as well. If all one knows is casting, it is very difficult to comprehend The Great Work. Likewise, if one is still on that leg of the journey, Majik seems almost an abomination if imagined at all. Majian have reached a pitch where casting spells is superfluous and self perfection become less important than impact on eon. To the Majian, magic and magick are realms passed through. To one who practices craft, Majik is a realm yet to be envisioned.

Most do just that. It seems all the same hodgepodge. It is not the most productive way to view it and makes it more difficult for those who are ready, or at least wishing they were, to graduate from “the craft” to “The Great Work” to fully encompass mentally all that is involved.

Most don’t even concern themselves with Majik and have no comprehension of it at all. I suppose that is as it should be. Majik is the art of kingship as it was in those such as Dali and Elvis. Not all are cut out for it, so need not be concerned ~ yet, even if not Majian, I would wish to know men played such games with my destiny. I suppose, if short of understanding the dynamics, I would be a bit pissed that they did.

You can more than call me friend. You may consider me so. You will not find much in the way of books on Majik. The best would be those written by Salvador Dali. Majik is so very unique to each practitioner, the most one can hope is to get a general sense of it from something like Dali's work. Nor does Dali confess all. It was only to closest friend that he admitted the real reason why he insisted on sitting atop a stuffed rhino on national television. All such props were “hypnoids” to Dali. The were subliminal strokes of a graver, indelibly carving the human collective subconscious.
