    Default Devil worship

Hi all. I have studied Satanism and Luciferianism for a little while now and I just wanted to talk about a subject I don't see too often. It seems as though hardly anyone would call themselves a "devil worshipper" and that this belief isn't really part of the left-hand path.

It doesn't matter what others think of me but I used to be a true christian and although I don't follow that path anymore, my beliefs are ALL the same. Meaning my intellectual knowledge about the spiritual realm is still the same. Some might say that I need to stop believing everything I am told or to think for myself but I am thoroughly convinced that the Bible is true. I just choose not to follow it. So if I was to call myself a Satanist or Luciferian, I would still believe in a devil and demons.

My question is does anyone know if it is possible to make a pact with the devil/sell your soul to the devil? I do know that even Satan tempted Jesus by telling him if he fell down and worshipped him, he would bless him materially. But maybe he was lying as Satan is known as the father of lies. But on the other hand, I know that real Christians experience suffering and usually poverty in this life so it seems only logical that someone who aligned themselves with Satan would receive material wealth and success.

If I was to become a Satanist or Luciferian it would soley be for the goal of attaining some sort of power to achieve my own success in this world. Otherwise, to me it would seem pointless. Thanks all for any help.

Another point I wanted to make was that I see that "devil worshipping" gets a lot of negative responses to it. I can't help but think that some don't wish to be called this because they are afraid of the social stigma attached to it.

I do notice that in the "mainstream" media that "devil worshippers" seem to always be crazy people or teenagers. What if like everything else in "mainstream" media that this is part of an agenda to point us in the wrong direction? What if the most successful people in the world really do worship the devil and they want us to think only these crazy people and teenagers are part of this? Sounds pretty reasonable to me.

The reason I bring this up is because I have been studying secret societies and especially the group called the Illuminati. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Yes I agree I worship myself also as I believe that doing so would get me further in life but I also can't help but think there is some sort of "external" power I could receive which would further my goals. I also believe in a spiritual side to things.

I do believe highly successful people believe in "external" entities which give them power. My goal is to research this subject.

    Scarlett,

That is true that worship of something is not the same as entering into a pact. I was more of the opinion that one went with the other. But that doesn't have to be true.

I'm not sure what you mean about me not learning anything from the Bible. I'm not sure why you believe this. Are you saying this because I didn't make a distinction between making a pact and worshipping something? If that's the case, I haven't read anything about this type of thing in the Bible. So I wouldn't have known that from the Bible. The only passage I know of that deals with this is when Satan tempts Jesus in the wilderness with material wealth for "bowing down and worshipping him".

Well I could tell you why I believe I was a true Christian but it would appear you aren't that interested anyways judging by your comment.

No, I don't need to be dominated by something. If it just so happens I can make a pact with an entity without worshipping it, that will most definitely work for me. Right now I simply have a desire to attain wealth and success in life and I was researching on whether this was a possible avenue to go for that.

Also again, it wasn't the Bible that brought me to this research. It was through my study of secret societies and what is taking place in the world with highly successful people. It has appeared to me that many of these individuals have made their own "pact" and even "worship" something.

Tydus21, your question's are really a debate. However, I will put it simple. If you believe in Devils and Demons, then you can not be a Satanist, because we don't see Satan as the source of evil. Or better, as the Holy Bible say. So, make your choice. There is no way to make pact, from a Satanic perspective you're even inside Satan. There is no way to get out. It's your instict. The choice to believe in God, or believe in Satan as higher self is yours.

    Thanks magick for your post.

I did know that LaVeyan Satanists believed that but I also thought that theistic or spiritual Satanists believed in an actual entity. I could be wrong about this though.

Theistic or Spiritual Satanists view Satan and his Demon as the Ancient Pagan Gods, so it is a sort of revival of neo paganism. Only, they utilize a satanic-based culture. It's like a reverse neo paganism. The Old Gods become Satan and the Goetia Demons. It's a beautiful and more elaborate form of Satanism existing today. I suggest to read Michael W. Ford, he's the best writer about Theistic Satanism.

Hmm I didn't know that. So really no Satanists or Luciferians believe the Bible is true then. Thanks for the post.

Does anyone have any more thoughts?
