    Red face i'm backwards in my bod i think

    ok this is what i do, i get all settled, breathing, relaxed, feel my blood pumping around, i wait until it's really slow or gone altogether on my face, then i start to really feel my body as best i can every inch, and then usually my hands feel reversed, left is right and right is left, then i usually notice that their upside down, so with my hands backwards and upside down, i let the rest of my body kinda follow into place, and i end up spinning or in a wave when i try to make sense of the rest of me, this is as far as i get most of the time, sometimes my arms float out sometimes everything is floating except my head, sometimes i get distracted by seeing or hearing things and i just go with it, I've had only one obe, and i couldn't see, i wanted to see so bad but my physical eyes kept opening instead(surprisingly). but anyway my question is, Can anyone help me get a little further, i think the one kick butt time i had was probably just a lucky night

    try to take it slow, try imagining your eyes opening without opening your real eyes, this should help the reflex; also try to do some image meditation work concentrate on any image, look around the room find a small object and see it in your head.

    for astral body work fill your body with what seems like liquid light by seeing a ball of light in front of you, and let it fill you from feet all the way to the head. when it is filling you be aware of it as it fills each part of your "shell". open your astral ayes and move your arm and turn it do this as a practice for a while, and with other parts of your astral body the idea of this is to feel comfortable in your astral. then you can start looking around the room when you feel ready. for many getting out of body with consciousness is difficult, and is hard to explain at least for me , but the best way is to concentrate and basically will it to move as you get up with your astral body. It can feel heavy at first so practice that till at least it feels like you can do it again.

    this may seem like starting over and it is, but it seems whatever your trying is not working and is having some bad effects, so I hope you have better luck with this process.

    an alarm clock is a good idea in these practices as well that way you wont have to worry about time.

    spiritual force hypnotizing me? bad effects? and i thought i was going in the right direction... well I'll try the ball of light filling me, do you think i could just imagine being full of light and make it super bright? coming from a ball just seems... strange like what is this ball? and why is it light and why do i want to fill myself with light from a source other than myself? i don't know... what do you think? , i do concentrate on a blue ball or a star if i don't think I'm quite "deep" enough. thanks for your guy's input.

    I misunderstood the first part of your original post.

    the ball is a exercise to better detach from the physical body. it is not necessary but can help.

    is the seeing the only problem you are having, and how many times have you tried now.

    I'm not sure of I'm undestanding the question properly but I'm thinking you need help meditating. I used a pain method . . . rubber bands around the wrist and everytime my mind would wonder or I'd open my eyes I'd snap myself. I think it's all about training you mind and body.

    well, seeing was the only problem i had the one and only time i was actually out of my body, i was still getting acquainted with how it felt. how many times have i tried the ball of light filling me? just once, night before last, when i first started i used a water fall of light above me, filling me up. but it seems like when i imagine my body, it takes a lot longer to be... thoughtless. i'm probably doing it all wrong, i've had little guidance you see, but i enjoy the strange things that happen when i meditate, whether i get out of my body or not i have a good time, but i would like to be able to actually get out and experience a little more, or at least be able too see if i do get out again. i hope i'm making sense.
    opposite first, the rest is a given.
